Perfect Character

I've always been a item and stats nut. Now, I've gotten myself the legendary edition of Skyrim, I already made a kind of playtrough in early 2012. Thing is, I want ALL unique items, with their best stats. As far as I know some of the stats like the base damage are level-tied. But I'm not entirely sure if there's specific level where the base damage reaches its max. I estimate said level somewhere in the 50ies. Now, I'm not sure if I can reach that level without tremendous grinding and without getting unique items along the way, wether that be throughquest rewards or simply stumbling upon them. Unique items that aren't tied to a level in their stats would be okay for me to retrieve before I reach the above said level. Also, if I accept a quest, will the quest rewards level be the level when I accpeted the quest, whetere I've advanced or not? I know these questions are a bit vague, but it would be nice if someone could help me.

Level 46 is the highest, I think. That's for higher-stat leveled uniques like Dragonbane, Chillrend, etc. There are some that are lower. Check out this page: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveled_Items Max stats are listed next to each. From there, you can go to each item's individual page to see what the leveled stats are. It also says that the stats are based on the level when the item is given, rather than when the quest is started.

Ah thanks. Because it really bugged me that I didn't get Chillrend with the best stats. Things like that drive me insane. Does that mean that for example Wuuthrad will deal the max damage regardless of my level?

An exception that I could however make would be a unique item, that looks like its normal counterpart, and is disenchantable, and whose effect isn't level-tied or I have reached already the max level for it.

Yes, many items have a set Enchantment regardless of character level.

I'm just wondering because Wuuthrad was my favorite weapon in my first playthrough, and I'm not sure, if I should get it straight away.

Wuuthrad is one of the most powerful two handed Weapons in the Game, having it makes collecting other items much easier. I dislike certain aspects of the Companions Questline, but Disease Immunity will never be a complaint. Killing Thalmor quickly is what Wuuthrad was created for. Azhidal did not Forge and Enchant the Axe to sit in a display for Millenia, He crafted it to be used.

So I'll go for it. I basicly used Wuuthrad the whole time, until I got made myself a daedric twohander with life drain and soutrap. That thing is mostly a onehitter. Chillrend is easily my favorite onehander. I played a Nord with heavy focus on creating the most powerfull weapons and enchanted gear.
