Perfect idea for hardcoe!

Post » Tue Dec 02, 2008 6:57 am

I think for hardcoe, Bottlecaps should weight .01 pound.

10 caps=1 pound.

Seriously, how the hell can we carry around 50,000-100,000 bottle caps?

I would laugh if caps actually became a currency somewhere. I would laugh.

0.01 pounds mean 100 caps = 1 pound right?
1000 caps = 10.
10.000 caps = 100.

Yeah I'd love this for hardcoe mode.

Even better, how about EVERYTHING you carry in hardcoe has weight? Why they omitted this from hardcoe mode I'll never know.

I never have any trouble with weight restrictions in HC mode, but I'm a two gun only type.

Now that you mention it, quest items and chems should have weight limits as well. (But they better make it so we can drop the [censored] quest items (When dropping a quest item a pop up will mention that it's a bad idea every time you drop one.))

I don't even want to imagine the masses of kids crying "I lost the platinum chip" :lmao:

This, however, is quite reasonable.

And I rather like the weight idea. Maybe even introduce a Wasteland Bank? (and rob it? )

I like it, I never carry more than 3500 anyway, for RP purposes.

Try sneaking with a sack full of a thousand bottlecaps it should be more difficult carrying all that tin ~Not only that... but you're in a world where caps are money and the law is spread out or non-existent... Its one thing to walk down the street with 6 grand in your pocket, its quite another to do it carrying dollar coins. IMO your odds of assault should go way up when hauling that kind of fortune anywhere.

If you are on the PC you can do this already via the Bottlecaps Have Weight mod http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35270

"A single, small ESM for you hardcoe mode folks, adding 0.0100 weight to each bottlecap.

Time to leave your vast fortune at home!"
