Nice having something to dream about, right ;P
Sorry I got to break this to you pal, but serious performance optimizations, especially for AMD users, are not going to come around until the modding community gets its hands on the CK...
yeah running a 970 and an i7 game runs like trash. Horrible optimization typical bethesda.
Yes. 2600k 4.1ghz and 290x Vapor x. Many areas I get drops to 30fps even with shadow distance and godrays turned down. Turning everything down to absolute minimum settings gains me about 5fps. Not acceptable.
i7 5970k, EVGA 980 GTX 4GB AC, Dipping from 60fps to 40-30fps on medium settings and low draw distance around downtown Boston and many dense-like towns as well. Resorted to using a program like Process Lasso just to reach a steady 50-55 fps in dense areas on medium-low settings on Current Gen hardware.
Where exactly are you dropping to 40fps.
A 970 should not be dropping to 40 FPS in a game that looks like Fallout 4. Not saying it's the worst looking game out there, but there's plenty of games that look and run better than it.
Yo dankus liquid swords is my [censored] dope pic and yeah i get fps drops in certain areas(corvega plant/cities) on my 970. Bethesda needs pony up this performance.
Top of corvega plant, cities(pretty much everywhere in cities depending on which way you face). That's as much as iv seen since i quit due to annoying fps drops.
Are you playing on a 4k- or multi-monitor-setup? My system never drops below 100fps on a 2560x1440 monitor with a rather old [email protected] GHz, 16 GByte RAM and a 980 Ti (which has 6 GByte RAM instead of 4 on the 980 - depending on your monitor's resolution, that might cause problems).
I'm playing on a single monitor Asus VG236HE 23in 120hz at 1080p.
