Performance problem - please advice

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:14 pm

Hello Crysis 2 community!

I'm having some problems with the performance of the game and need some advice to raise my FPS. ("Thank you Captain Obvious, here's a rock.")
I am getting 10 FPS quite commonly, note that this hasn't happened in the demo.

Please advice, what do I do first to raise my FPS? I tried many things but failed to raise the average FPS even by a single frame.

Your CPU is? Your GPU is? Without common info about your hardware we cant help.

well first things first... when youre posting performance issues u need to include your PC spec to check if its your hardware thats causing problems or if its software side :)

HD 5670 OC @ 805 MHz GPU 1105 MHz Memory

AMD 64 X2 5000+ 2.61 GHz

2 GB RAM (I do have another stick of 2 GB, but 32 bit OS, unsure where to put it in, PC noob :( )

Vista (possibly the problem)

Playing the game at 1440*900, high system spec.
Note, I have dropped the res down to 800*600 and didn't see any performance increase...

Put in the other stick of RAM.
It goes in the DIMM slots.
Your GPU's not great, it's weaker than an 8800GT.
CPU's an ancient brisbane/windsor chip.
