Perks: Now or Later?

Yeah I know what you mean I suppose.

Difficulty is customizable, perks and talents are not (at least their effects aren't unless you have a PC).

To be more descriptive, I wouldn't really want Bethesda to remove a feature like this because they think it would result in characters becoming too powerful when the person who's playing the game is the one who's in control of whether or not they become powerful or impose limits on themselves in an effort to keep the game challenging.

I have faith that Bethesda knows how to balance it all out in the end, and still keep the game fun. :)

I'm not sure if I'd bank my perks, but I don't mind the idea.

It would also be nice if there was an npc who would let us reset our perks and choose different ones, that probably wont happen though

Less sure about this one. I think it could cut two ways. On the one hand, it seems like it would provide a disincentive to replayability - although, the reply to that is "if you don't like it, don't use it". On the other hand, this system could provide some nice role-playing possibilities. Want to play the thief fed up with getting beaten up, so he becomes a beefy warrior? You can! There would also be some natural constraints on this system through skills and levels. Presumably, resetting your perks wouldn't reset your skills and levels. So you couldn't take one character through the game as a super warrior, super thief, and super mage. And, presumably, there would also need to be some skill requirements on certain perks. But this could be an interesting thing to play around with.
