Perks past 30 with Logan's Loophole...

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 7:22 am

First time playing a character with Logan's Loophole perk- I understand that after you reach level 30 there will no longer be any more level ups, or the perks you could choose during level ups. But... what about the extra perks that you can get with the DLC's, such as the purchasable perks at the autodoc in The Sink? Will the non-levelup-related DLC-specific perks still be available and usable, or will they also be disabled by Logan's?

purchasable perks at the autodoc in The Sink?

Like the implants?

I don't see why they wouldn't be purchasable after level 30. I haven't made it to 30 yet on my Logan's Loophole playthrough, but I'm pretty sure implants are still available once you hit 30.

Looking through the Fallout NV wiki, there are three kinds of player perks in the DLC's (not counting companion perks)- regular, special, and implanted. I'm going to guess that only the regular perks are eliminated after lvl 30, when you go with Logan's Loophole?

I would imagine so. Implants can probably be purchased at any time, even when level 30. That makes sense, though I'm not sure. If anyone can confirm either way, it would be good to know.

Another question regarding Logan's Loophole....can you take it at Goodsprings, then upon completion of Old World Blues (before you reach level 30), swap it out for something else? Therefore gaining all the benefits of LL pre level 30, then all the benefits of levelling up after it?

OP: I can confirm that special & implanted perks are not affected by either Logan's Loophole or level cap 50. I had a recent playthrough where my girl took Logan's Loophole in order to make a preliminary pass through Lonesome Road with a character I didn't especially care about, and she took eight of the nine implants as soon as she returned to the Mojave.

@Winawar: I can confirm that you can do this, though I have never seen the point to doing it. Most of my heavy chem use comes in later levels.
