Permadeath in hardcoe mode?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 7:40 am

Not as a mode, no. I tried that in Witcher 2 and while it was cool, I wanted to reload the save I died on so I could figure out the situation, and I obviously couldn't. So I'll just play a no-death using saves that don't get locked on me. I do hope there's a hardcoe mode though, I liked hardcoe in NV.

Hey Luz =)

I don't want any sort of 'hardcoe mode' at all. I'm not opposed to a variety of realism options that, if all selected, would add up to the equivalent of a hardcoe mode, but I want each option individually selectable. Just because I want basic needs and stimpaks healing over time instead of instantaneous doesn't mean I want permadeath for either me or my companions.

Should have made a pool with either perma death or no save game in a hell mode.

Heh, if the game was bugfree then I would love to give this option a try (around my 5th playthrough or something) buuuut I've died so many times in FO3/NV due to glitches that no thanks :)

I had to vote no. I can see wanting to play DiD, and if people do then deleting their character upon death should be their choice and not the result of a bug, glitch or something else that is not the players fault nor intended game play. I love Bethesda games but there are just too many glitches in new games to even think that this would be fun.

I voted no since there's no (what if it's an option in hardcoe mode)

Permadeath is a No No, I'm all for hardcoe mode but this would be going too far.

I don't really see the point in making it a feature. DiD playthroughs are more something that the player chooses to do. Why make a generally unpopular change to an existing game mode or create an additional mode for something that is better done at the player's discretion.

Maybe make it toggle-able but as the default? Hell no.
