So I had this idea of making a thief/archer/assassin character that took skills I would never use as his primary skills so he would stay level one though the entire game. The premise was that the armor and weapons would stay slightly "realistic" since things like plate steel armor and ebony swords would be incredibly rare at a time period similar to Oblivion... so the enemies would always be little goblins, wolves, and basicly equipped soldiers. I didn't want this character to wear armor but hopefully his blade/marksman skill would be able to pretty much one shot things easily at maxed skill level (which i would probably grind to max before doing much).... this would allow me to amp up the difficulty to the point where I am able to still 1 shot most regular enemies with 1 arrow/slash from stealth. Then since I have increased the difficulty they would be able to kill me easily if I don't block their attacks or get overwhelmed.
Has anyone tried this before? Or know enough about the scaling to tell me if it would work how I planned it.
I'm simply trying to make it seem more realistic (on xbox so i cant mod) by abusing the level system so that my main skills are so high that with amped difficulty I could dispatch enemies quickly while also getting killed pretty easily aswell because of the 6x damage taken modifier from max difficulty. I really hate the arrow pin cushion way of simulating "stronger enemies" and would like to simply be able to kill them as fast as they can kill me.
Thanks in advance.
