Permantly losing limbs?

Post » Wed Jun 30, 2010 12:45 pm

Would you like to permanently lose limbs? For example if somebody slashes your arm off is a sword fight would you like to have it stay off? Of course it could come back on if you go to a healer. I though of it when playing New Vegas and thought how cool would it be to lose your limbs but not die, it takes crippled limbs to the next degree. They would not instantly fall off but over time after so much damage you will lost it. And if you lose you arm then you lose whatever you are holding in that arm. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

No. I don't. We would need 2 levels of hardcoe mode for this.

Interesting but definitely in the realm of mods.

Amusing idea, yes. Good idea? Er, not so much. Unless, I suppose, one wants to be the Black Knight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKhEw7nD9C4

What if I invested lots of points in Two handed? Would all my perks and points transfer into the one handed skill?

I don't like this idea >=[

No. That would be very inconvienient, to say the least. And very unrealistic for it to magicaly reappear after going to a healer...

In this case, then you can almost bet on a Black Knight easter egg...along some path to some game-critical area- "None shall pass!"

No. No. No. No. NOOOOO. I'm sorry, but that is an extremely stupid idea. So after a month of getting hit, a rat bites my arm, and it falls off? WTF?!?! Don't touch my ****ing arms!

I will be deeply disappointed if they don't have this.

He will only die after you lop off all his limbs.

Die? What die? If it's a proper easter egg, he'll be there when you come back the other way, still shrieking "You yellow bastard, I'll bite your legs off!" :D

He doesn't die, you both decide to call it a draw.

Fair is fair.

Bad idea IMO. Unless you die immediately afterward. It would be neat to see NPC's who have lost limbs in battle, but to have it be an option, to lose a limb and survive? I would prefer that they devote their resources elsewhere.

IMHO stupid idea

Just because sure you can lose a arm or a leg and hoble or use magic but since it would be permonite than that would svck because what if you lost 2 legs? its perminite so no way to regrow/use magic or attach things to it

ugg i cant type today :(

I'm certain it would make the game boring and a tad frustrating. That's the problem with all the realism a lot of people want in this game. I'm fine with being able to see your feet, dynamic snow, radiant quests, etc, but stuff like this wouldn't add positively to the game. At least, in my opinion.

I want dismemberment as long as it's pretty rare and depending on weapon, never with dagger sometimes with a waraxe, and heads is a so rare event you take it with you home,
Yes missing a limb would be fair, an enemy cut of your hand and you can not find it :) However this would permanently gimp your character as a I guess it will not grow back. More so if you are a master in two hands weapon.

I casted damage strength on bandits along the roads in Morrowind so they was unable to move as a high level mage, later then I passed them they was not happy.
