Was totally stoked by this quest last night. It starts in good neighbor and I somehow missed it on my first play through. I now am the proud owner of the bar buddy protectron that stomps around my settlement handing out free drinks. And was happy to discover the reason for the brew recipies. If you haven't done this yet go to the lobby of the rex hotel and ask around. Favorite settler by far

Best yet, ask for a beer and when his inventory opens, put in any nuke kola and in a short time its ice cold.


Best nuke kola Quattrum, ice cold not only restore a ton of hp, but also gives 125 ap.

Has anyone actually sent Buddy back to Goodneighbor? I haven't seen anyone yet who was willing to part with him

No idea who would not want to keep him.

I brought him back to Goodneighbor.

But that's because I'd negotiating up the cost of delivery to 200 caps, and it seemed wrong to keep him. Besides, Beer isn't my current character's foray.

I was annoyed that the quest would not end after I chose to keep the robot. So I killed the quest-giver. That closed the quest with a failure. Mission accomplished.

Ahh that's smart. I'll have to kill the quest giver now lol. As for me I'd negotiated the reward to 300 caps but still couldn't bear to part with him

I just found him last night and decided to keep him - I've been to the hotel but must've missed the quest somehow. Anyway, I sent him to one of my settlements. When I left the place myself a few minutes later, I found him try to fight off some raiders. A few careful VATS shots later and law and order had prevailed. I left him clanking his way all the way back to Sanctuary Hills. Hope he makes it!

I left the quest active so he was marked on the map while traveling. He went a crazy way lol, got stuck under water while swimming to spectacle isle, but finally made it

Had no clue you could use him to ice-down your other stuff. I found two ice-cold nuka colas in the cafeteria at the institute the first time there that never respawned so I always wondered if that was a thing with other beverages. I'll try it with everything now.
