Personal charecter slots

Post » Thu Dec 24, 2009 11:42 pm

I am making this to cover something we have all gripped about or wished more of, and that is more personal character slots, for wearing more varied pieces of armor and clothing, and the possible ability of swapping how or where a weapon is worn or displayed on your character.

How many do you want ?

Do you want clothing items to peek thru like in Morrowind ?

Do you want the ability to choose how you wear or display your weapon on your charecter, ( like on your back, or on your hip, on your sleeve, on your boot, ect,... )

More customization would be great.

Oblivion had a fine number of slots but including clothes under the armor would be appreciated, and having them visibly poking out from under the armor could make for some cool looks. As for placing your weapons where you want to I'm all for that as long as they limit it to an extent (No claymores tied to your boots).

This used to be such a hot topic, I personally dont want a claymore on my leg but throwing knives displayed on my arm or around my waist would be sweet as would the option to wear backpacks or have a dagger showing sticking out of my boot, or a duel welding dagger showing on my left hip as a sword shows hanging in my right and a shield on my back

being able to wear one glove, or a cape on the side or anything would be kind of cool

Rather than just having armor pasted on you.

I would love if they used backpacks for slots. Like a small leather backpack has 20 slots, and a Big dragonskin backpack has 80 slots. but still keep the weight for realism.

And i really hope they let you use 2 different gloves. and bring capes to the game!

I agree, at least Morrowind's level of customisation but the ability to customer further would not be unwelcome.

I would really like to hear more about what people think about being able to show weapons in different positions by using an internal placement system, and also the wearing of multiple layers of equipment like wearing a cape or robe over armor, but still have option to wear a backpack, also would like to include a beast of burden like your horse with saddlebags, or a horse and wagon like we had in Daggerfall or a mule ,something, anything like that....

I want more customization for the character using more slots, because 1 its not hard to implement and it adds to the richness of the game to me, how I am able to appear in game.

Customisation is my (at least one of) favourite thing in a game. To add more would be amazing, to reduce... I probably wouldn't purchase this game.

I dont know that I wouldnt get the game but I would be very let down as it is a huge thing for me if I want re-playability to my game appearance is like at least 30 % of a game to me.

This used to be such a hot topic, I am very surprised that more people havent jumped in on it, to screech to the heavens and that worries me because of the shift in games to one piece clothing sets and even one piece armor like in fallout,... yes I know this aint fallout so pls dont start yelling but it was just an example.

Yeah, I admit, I probably wouldn't be able to resist getting the game. But it would probably be for christmas rather than straight out buying it.

Undergarment, Lower Body
Undergarment, Upper Body
Undergarment, Feet
Undergarment, Hands

Armor/Clothing:
Feet
Legs
Waist
Chest
Shoulders
Wrist
Hands
Back
Head

Jewelry/Accessories:
L. Ear
R. Ear

*Misc. Accessory 2

Backpack (I'd like to see an integrated Backpack feature that graphically works with Quivers & slung bows, shields, large weapons, etc.)

I would enjoy seeing the "Backpack" slot but instead of an actual backpack, something like hunters packs, quivers, sheilds, large sheathes etc.

I was playing Morrowind for the first time in forever today and holy monkey balls is the customization with armor and clothes crazy.

I had a glove on one hand, a bracer on the other, a pouldron on one shoulder and a shirt under my chainmail. And it looked awesome!!!

I pray to Azura they bring it back. And then some maybe.

Yep with more slots comes more customization and we all know that customization of a character is a huge part of not only game enjoyment, but replay-ability because it helps us to make that character more our own.
