(personal) powerleveling to 50 with RoM this Sunday - EU

Post » Sat Mar 29, 2014 7:42 am

Hi,

My name is Sockersot and im a former pro arena player from WoW (Hunter). Me and a few friends were planning to power/speed level to 50 as soon as the 5-days early access opens this Sunday. Now we're a uneven and I need someone to connect my rings of mara with in order to recieve the bonus xp from leveling together.

We are not trying to be the first to lvl 50, its not a race in any way. We simply want to make our main characters a good and strong start before the swarm of players joins.

We will be playing from launch and about 14-16 hours a day until lvl 50 is reached. After that we'll be doing instances to farm gear and such.

Takes atleast 50-100 hours from what we have heard from beta testers.

We will be playing on European server and in the Daggerfall Covenant.

You need to be fluent in english, +18, good experience with mmos, preferably a hardcoe player in both PvE and PvP.

We will mostly do quests together with exploring maps (needed to find quests) and a lot of instances.

We are interested in end game material in both PvE and PvP, we want to get there as fast as possible to start farming up gear.

If you think its something for you and you are interested in joining us, please contact me as soon as possible.

//Sockersot

50 hours is 3 days just for level 50, you still need to reach VR 10 which could add up to 2-3 weeks /played

This is just for lvl 50, after that we'll look how to best approach VR 10 levels and such... I'm just checking the interests of fellow players. We need 1 more player.

Why spend 60 dollars on a game to "beat" it in one day. Talk about burn out. But if you enjoy this, have fun :)

To each his own, but I think you're missing the entire point of the game with a focus on power-leveling. You'll be rushing through lower level areas, missing a bunch of content on the way, and likely not very inclined to return later as you'll be way over-leveled and presumably bore quickly of one-hitting enemies to death. So that leaves just PvP in Cyrodiil. Sure, that's fun - but why "lock" yourself out of 90% of the content as quickly as possible???

If I were you I'd slow down and actually enjoy the game.

Some people like to do speed runs nothing is wrong with that.

I personally think its going to be agitating though since killing mobs gives little xp pretty much forcing you to do a lot of quest also you will skip a lot of sky shards.

Everyone likes to play it differently, me personally... I don't like leveling, i can almost stop playing games because leveling and RP is so boring... To me atleast... I basically only enjoy PvP and end game PvE. The road to there is very boring for me and my friends hence why we wish get done with it as soon as possible.

We can always make new characters and do the leveling slower on other characters.. we just want our main characters leveled fast so we can start working around gear setup, skills etc.

Except PvP is not endgame, you can start it at level 10. Go figure.

faster Faster FASTER. GOGOGO!

I've always wondered why players do this. Are they a product of the current 'fast food generation' that always has to be the first and have things on their plate immediately, now, without waiting?

Is it bragging rights? I'd rather brag that I unravelled a really interesting story on my slow way to 50 (not that I would, i'm not that kind of person) but perhaps that's just me.

I'm genuinely intrigued. Please don't take this as a disparaging post, even if some of my comments above seem like it. I really would honestly love to know why people want to powerlevel to max as quickly as they can.

From my conversations with the support, you recieve group bonus xp + rings of mara xp + normal xp... so it will go pretty fast since there is little penalty with grouping. questing while being in group makes it really fast and easy. Questing and instances will be the main thing we do. We found a lot of "instance bosses/mob groups" that gave about 5-15% xp per kill with very short spawn timer. I lvled 2 lvls in less than 10 mins just killing same mob... not saying its fun, saying its effective!

hmm seems like i may have to rethink what faction to play. I can see it now these guys hit 50 and start calling people noobs for leveling so slow. No thanks

As i said before... i just dont like leveling. I find it very boring. I like getting from point A to B as soon as possible... And 50-100 hours of gaming isnt really BLOWING through the game... Since +50% of the time will be through questing and exploring (exploring is needed to find quests). We will be doing what everyone else is doing just, trying to do it faster and more disciplined.

It's like watching a good movie at a x8 fast forward speed. Go figure.

Why even play the game if you don't enjoy 80% of what is has to offer?

OP the rings give +10% bonus to xp. If you guys play in shifts you could probably do it in 3-4 days but that's just to 50. Getting to VR10 is another 250 hours or so.

I never have a problem with people speed leveling because everyone is different. The only issue with your post is that you mentioned you were a pro arena WoW player which literally means nothing. =)

Well, levelling might be boring. But you don't need to look at the levelling. I am sure the quests are pretty interesting. You say you only want the endgame PvE and PvP. What is wrong with the beginners PvE? It is all about quests and instances whether being lvl 10 or 50. And you can PvP at both.

Well, to each it's own i guess. I will just enjoy the journey. The endgame won't disappear when i get there,

Just so you know, they nerfed XP gain from bosses and dungeon monsters because of that. It's in the patch notes.

I know some people like to powerlevel a character to high/max level so they can:
1) explore
2) use that character to gear RP characters
3) use that as a crafting character
4) concentrate on PvP.

Those are just some reasons I know of.
Not exactly my style but to each their own.

Why care about how another person plays the game?

Just to be clear I wont be powerleveling and dont care when I reach lvl 50 or VR 10 as long as I have fun in that time period.
