Personalized Armor

whose going to hate having a choice like that. i can only imagine the reason for any one voting no is that they would like the idea but not if it meant something else was cut from the game.

Different pre-set textures? Maybe. Custom add-ons that you can add on at a forge? Yes. Variants of each kind of armor? Yes please! Recoloring it to any color would look silly IMO. Maybe dyes for cloth, but not metal or leather, etc.

As long as we can mod in more.

I guess no and the main reason is the different six armour , female characters are getting some ridiculous almost nvde models while male characters are looking like tanks .
I 'd go with chain mail under plate male or stuffed brigantine for poor guys choices .

Reason being for that is because all games now a days have something to bring in the horny teenage boy crowd.

I think something similar to the emblem system in Black Ops would be great. Like you would go to an armorer and ask him to customize your armor. Up comes the emblem system from Black Ops and you can have multiple layers and shapes etc.

Should there be ways to customize/personalize your armor?
Like, adding a Fighters Guild Logo, having it a different shade, making it darker... etc. etc.

I just didn't like in oblivion where I always looked like a marauder even when I finally got to daedric :P
Well, is that something that a real armor smith could do in real life?

Had the inclination I think we could get a little something special.
But why did the marauders have daedric anyways?
Oblivion screwed Daedric, the story behind it explains why its rare. In morrowind there were less than 3 suits in the entire game. In oblivion at level 25 everyone you met had the 'legendary armor'

*thinks of black glass armour*

Oh god, I just ironed.

This is a brilliant idea, and it'd make plenty of people happy if they added it.

I would totally love it if you could customise armour and shield colours, also making emblems would be so awesome.

Yes, but it would be carved it not painted, if it was painted it would wear off permanently until re-painted

I would be pretty fun I guess. But Bethesda has confirmed that modtools will come so it won't really matter if they don't include that level of customization - we'll just make it ourselves :)

I looks to me like a higher level of customization is in, compared to Oblivion that is. It really looks like separate shoulder pieces are in. I wonder though if they are going to make separate left and right pauldrons or if they're just gonna let us choose which shoulder to put them on, like which hand you want to hold your weapon in.

that's easily solved by not giving ultra rare daedric armour to bandits and hedgewizards :whistling: (hint hint, Bethesda)

Do the same customization for houses! I brainstormed a bunch of ideas of how to do it at this forum http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1169471-houses-in-skyrim/
