Personnality mods

I was wondering if anybody knows about mods that enhance what the personnality attribute does in the game? I find it rather underused in vanilla oblivion.

Persuasion Overhaul helps, especially when combined with any magic overhaul which reduces the power of Illusion spells. Enhanced Economy makes every bit of merchant disposition count. nGCD causes Personality to affect your magicka pool and regeneration rate. There may be others... but yeah, it's both one of the least-used attributes, and probably the one with the most things in the way of being able to make it useful. :P

Be very careful with your personality attribute.
If it gets too high you'll possibly find bandits, lower level daedra etc wont attack you.

Heh... to be honest, I like that. "Woah, that guy's pretty confident. Maybe we should play it safe." :)

How high the personnality would have to be in order for it to happen. Can they like you enough that they would fight on your side?

In fact I was looking at a mod that does something like this. If your character has a high personality some npc offer their services as followers. Depending on your fame or infamy the type of followers is different. Or maybe a mod that let you gain faction with npc as a result for high personality. Anyway I'm not sure its even possible but such a mod would really add interest to the personnality attribute. Thanks for the replies!

(I didnt know that personnality was a part of your magika pool with ngcd...thats great!)

I really like persuasion overhaul but for me it doesnt really make it more useful. It just changes the mechanics to something much more interesting, However I am curious about does magic mods you were mentioning. Charm spell are way too overpowered compare to speechcraft.

To be honest I've never played with a magic overhaul... and of course, now I'm making one. ;) But I know that the problem with charm spells is a well-recognized one, so I would assume that both LAME and Supreme Magicka do something about it.

I'm doing some stuff with personality (mostly speechcraft in truth) in the new and increasingly inaccurately titled unnecessary violence. It can be used to talk yourself in and out of fights, as well as to perform for people (juggling and lute playing etc.) to get them to increase their disposition towards you.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31535 lets you talk your enemies out of fighting.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24099 takes a different approach to nerfing illusion than most mods; it makes it illegal to cast illusion spells on friendlies, and makes you responsible for the actions taken by NPCs under your control. Detection of your spell casting is stat/skill based.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22653 makes NPCs disposition towards you change depending on how well your clothing matches theirs. It also makes some clothing, like DB armor and Mythic Dawn robes, illegal.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31578 makes training sessions retroactive so they carry over to the next level. But apart from that the amount of maximum sessions you get strongly depends on your personality value. So the higher your personality, the more use you can make of trainers to increase your skills.

The Race Balancing Project has a hidden function which you can turn on that makes Personality increase your resistance to Paralysis effects(which can save your ass if you find a nest of big spiders in MMM, which tend to throw paralysis spells that also damage you). Other then that, it has some use, since it makes most NPCs dislike you more(racial disposition boosts are edited, many have minuses instead of pluses, and at least one on each race has -10), and most races have less of it, so it helps to raise it a bit with RBP.
