Pete Confirms Grabbing And Moving Objects

Post » Tue Aug 09, 2011 7:40 am

Most of us thought this would still be in, but confirmation is nice regardless. Pete seems to be answering some questions today (he confirmed animal companions, no dodge roll, perks past level 50, and now this).

Someone asked, "Will we be able to grab things in Skyrim like we could in Oblivion?"

His response was "Yup. Click A to pick it up. Hold A to grab it in the game and move it around without picking it up."

Maybe they would have axed it because it's too complicated and needed to be streamlined because moving objects is redundant, but replace it with "blowing on an object" which would be a trainable skill

When I saw the title I thought Peter Molyneax had got his fingers into Skyrim with the whole "you can grab your girlfriends hand and run with her through the streets"

Holding down A grabs the item and it stays 'grabbed' allowing you to freely move around until you press A again releasing the item.

Hopefully pressing A again releases the item instead of taking it.
