Is it not natural to smile? You're reading things into the video that isn't there.
It sounds to me like you're disliking her video just because there are people who love her singing.

Ugh, honestly, with all that reverb I couldn't tell you whether or not she's a good singer.

Reverb has a way of creating melody where there is none.

OR it's a legit way to change the feeling of the song. It sounds more heavenly this way or as if she sang in a big hall or something. Adding effects to a song does not automatically mean someone is a bad singer.
