See for yourself what they did without the tools.

Pete hines is not saying that there is a priority to release the DLC. He is saying that if DLC gets done before the GECK, he -won't- hold the DLC.

He is not saying that DLC is more important than GECK. He is saying that there is no priority between the two, and that both will be released when they are done.

Personally, I don't know why we're trying to decipher Pete Hine's words here lol. I feel sorry for the guy. I wouldn't want his job. :P

It's almost like you can never be too good at that job. Someone's going to find out the true meaning behind your tweet haha.

Yes, modders make good work, and ive got my own ideas to make when the GECK comes out since I want to build a bunker to live in.

Also ive been keeping a eye on the nexus for quite some time, making notes of what mods I want to make use of in the future when things are less janky. That M16-like mod that someone made looks damn fine, and I look forward to using some sort of AR-15 pattern rifle in the future. Im not sure what you're trying to say here.

You don't need him or me explain what mods are available. Moddevs mostly know and appreciate what Bethesda has to work on and how much effort and work is involved in contrary to some modusers who think that their wildest dreams can be made by a single moddev in seconds.

Ask the modusers who constantly demand that stuff. :)

Ive had people say that modders cludged together a better UI for Skyrim with "No effort" and "in a few months", and that Bethesda is incompetent because of that.

It really makes me wonder what those guys think modding is actually like, since a statement like that isnt just factually false its actually kind of insulting for both the modders and Bethesda.

Bring on the DLC, even though I do want some type of official modding tools.

But the most pressing matter for me is that Modders did what bethesda didn't.POLISH THE GAME

http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/Unofficial%20Skyrim%20Legendary%20Edition%20Patch%20Version%20History.html

If I knew that bethesda would deliver polished and above all stable products i wouldsn't complain.

After suffering through Oblivion FO3 and Skyrim on XBox360 I can honestly tell you that I would not boy a bethesda game on console ever again.

Just to add that I do not consider the "Creation Kit" to be a gift. I bought Fallout 4 because Bethesda supports modding, and the Creation Kit was part of the package.

The game was honestly secondary. The game I want most is Skyrim, based on the 64 bit engine. And an equivalent Creation Kit.

And all you GECK folks - point out any single time that Bethesda has called the Fallout 4 Creation Kit the GECK. They have not.

They are completely consistent in both terminology and logo, and that is "Creation Kit".

Hmm I didn't think of that, that's probably a good point. I skipped from the Morrowind CS to the Fallout 3 GECK, think how I felt. :P

I think he was just showing us what was available even without the G.E.C.K-- quite impressive to me actually. :)

How many man-hours do you think went into that project? Serious question.

It is, still every mod with a esp/esm is sadly a minefield and can break very easily (simply because Geck isn't out yet and most of the stuff is based on educated guesses.).

This is why I am not touching mods until the tools come out. .esps made with third party tools are liable to do some crazy things when the game gets updated in the future. I plan to have my character stay alive forever, just like all the rest, and im not going to put my save game in danger by using stuff like that.

The weapon mods are pretty impressive so far though. I love seeing all of the weapons that use more realistic designs since Fallout 4 didn't use those aesthetics. I can't wait to try them out.

That is at least a 2 years long project that had to be update with every Official patch. It was than updated for every dlc.

The unofficial patch is the reason people on pc had to put up with backwards flying dragons for hours rather than weeks.

They are the reason I managed to get a character past the 200 hours mark without bugged quests or corrupted saves. That never happened to me on xbox.I might be unlucky, but still.

You forgot btw. the bugtracker that was used for the uop. No company can afford that many bug reporters and the man hours they have put in.

Compared to many other companies Bethesda is actually ok (i don't write good.... :) ) in fixing bugs in their games.

Sure thing. But bailing from fixing their product just after Dragonborn was a stinky move.

Gah, I'm so bored with the game that I started building a modded Oblivion. I live these games and I need the Geck. Modding for me is just as much fun if not moreso as playing the game. Someone call me when it ever gets here >.<

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game. I love the game so much I want to buy the dev who built the gorgeous interior of Kendall Hospital a pizza and a six pack of his/her favorite beer. So much of this game is wonderful! I just want the Geck to build onto that and make it even more of a place I can lose myself in for hours, days, weeks at a time.
