*EDIT* About Bethesda, not Skyrim specifically.

(...) conversations between Todd Howard's team and the id guys about megatexture stuff and some of the things they do with that.

An Interview about Bethesda rather than Skyrim, still interesting but.

Yeah. A nice little read, even if it's not Skyrim related. Thanks.

This doesn't belong to the Skyrim board.

Good read. Gives you some insight into what makes Bethesda unique in the industry why they are the #1 developer in the world IMO.

Pete HInes: We're not trying to branch and be big in casual games or social gaming. We want to make the kind of games that we like to play, because we think there's lots of other people who like those, and every time we put one out we want people to stand up and take notice and go: "I’ve got to play that game".

Yes, I'm one of those people. After I found Oblivion and played in the open world, I rarely go to something else again. I do but it has to be really good like Portal2. Open World is the kind of game I want to play. Huge, imaginative and challenging. I'll always be glad I found Oblivion, FO3, FNV and soon Skyrim because it brought me back to gaming in a terrific way. My thanks to Bethesda for their philosophy on gaming in bringing talented people together to create the art that challenges me and gives me so much enjoyment.
