Pete Hines says fallout 4 is finished

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 6:15 am

Will the new Fallout 4 Creation Engine be 64 bit (modders delight) or still bottle necked at 32 bit??

Will Fallout 4 use the new Windows 10 Directx 12 ??

I also do hope you do not mean finished finished! I do hope there will be a lot more DLC's added!

"It just works"

Lol, I thought I was the only one who laughed when Todd said that. What an odd way to describe your game.

All I got from the OP was

"Fallout 4 is finished but we've not finished it yet"

At least it won't be delayed like every other game in the world.

If Im not mistaken both game consoles do 64 bit, so the game should be naturally coded for that even on PC, as for the rest we shall see.

The new consoles are both 64 bit. So I would think it's safe to assume that would be baseline for Fallout 4. I am thinking this is the case and it's exciting.

To be fair, he was referring to the ease of object placement with the settlement building. He wasn't necessarily making a statement about the game.

Games as complex as this looks to be are guaranteed to have a few bugs. I imagine they'll keep testing even after pressing and we'll have an update to sit through when we first play.

I hate those new-game updates but I hate bugs more. That damned space suit.

If by based you mean have a 'healthy' coke stash, sure.

Kind of what I was thinking. :) Heck I've been playing a lot of Early Release games on Steam lately, so might as well play another and just report bugs as we find them!

That's a good thing to say. Nobody wants to hear that the game is only halfway finished. That gives them lots of time to test it. They should let me test it.

Don't be mad that he's rich as hell because he talked about videogames for a few years and gets to do coke now. More power to him, he's "livinthedream" (Ayyyy!) More than me.

If it was Ubisoft the game would have released weeks ago.

Much like past Bethesda RPG's, the bug fixing will be left for the Day One beta testers. I meant the 'pre-order' people.

If this was a Ubisoft game, we'd be seeing trailers for Fallout 9 and wondering if Fallout 10 will take place in China so we can get a different perspective of the Great War.

I can not wait for all the new Skylake users and new chip-set guys complain about all their problems and expecting them to have fixed the newest hardware issues at launch that is entirely out of their control, every time people are up in arms blaming the game developer for new hardware and game issues with it, and shortly after the guys who made the hardware release firmware updates or new drivers for their stuff and poof game runs perfectly fine.

I just hope my old CORE i7 960 does not go into bottleneck frenzy like with Star citizen lately, with the big diversity of gaming rigs out there we will have people with issues and forum will be blasted with omg fix this piece of sh.. game and all that BS, i will be happy with a game that runs a good frame rate does not need to maxed out gfx at launch for me that can happen later on, as long as i can avoid to many crashes at the start i will be happy.

That being said of course i hope they can make this period a good testing period for the older and semi new systems and make it as stable as possible for users, but i am not going to demand they can have it running 100% for my new gaming rig with skylake cpu and chip-set at launch firmware and drivers need some time to be tweaked, also why i plan on using my old gaming rig for this game unless i read people with new hardware have no issues.

Lol your i7 960 is more than enough. I dont play star citizen so cant comment on that. Might be your graphics card thats the bottleneck tho. Or too high a resolution if your above 1080.

I have an i7 860 and can max W3. However i bought a 980 with my return to do it and only play at 1080. The 980 is overkill but with my cpu I thought I could use the help. That being said I mac every game I have played, and F4 surely is not the one to worry about.

Basically any second maybe even first gen i7 cpus are awesome and gaming hasnt come far enough to topple them yet. With consoles being what most games are made for only rare pc only games might eventually force an upgrade. My i7 is like 6 years old and I love it. Ill only upgrade because I want shiny or move up my res. Wont be cause im not maxing games out on 1080

This is very odd for Bethesda, not mention AAA devs in general, to come out and say their game is finished ahead of schedule. Usually Bethesda rushes their games out the door. Looks like they had FO4 development well planned out, thankfully.

Though if FO4 is a broken mess on launch, they deserve more heat than usual because of this statement.

They may have completed the game, but they're more than likely trying to iron out all the bugs, and if the game is as large as it looks to be.... it'll take 'em a while to get most of them... but don't kid yourself, a game as large as Fallout 4 with so many objects that can be interacted with... it's going to have bugs at launch that bethesda couldn't catch.

In all seriousness dude, don't bother hating people you don't know IRL. No point in having the extra stress.

Just a bit of advice that has personally added to my happiness levels.

If this were Ubisoft, we would've seen horrifying graphic glitches such as Nora missing her head, or the NPCs all with spinning heads, the baby Shaun flying through the air, etc. A broken chaotic mess.
