"No we're not talking about any of that stuff, we're focused on the main game"

Ok guys at this stage, two months before the game comes out, he could of easily said there will be no vampires or werewolves, because of course he knows exactly whats in the game.

They had no problems confirming spellcrafting, certain skills, etc is not going to be in the game.

So my guess they are definitely in and we will be presently surprised to see them in there. I think we will see one of the two near Solitude.

Also he said we are focused on the main game, as if he was saying I'm only answering questions about the main game. On top of that by him saying "main game" is he implying that they are in the "side game" category lol.

You guys tell me what you think.

Yeah, I've been pretty convinced of it since the fan interview. I think it's great. The whole point of TES games is exploration, the thrill of finding things on your own.

Well we know one thing. They're not considered part of the main game.

I think he doesn't want to disappoint us by telling us were-creatures aren't in. Relatively certain vampires are in. Seen concept art for Volkihar, and vampires have been in every TES game I've played. Not sure, I'm just gonna assume neither are in so that I won't be disappointed.

I think they don't want to reveal anything at the moment, in case they end up removing it for some reason. That way there will be no backlash from fans.

With vamps and weres getting much more popular in todays pop culture theres no way they will ignore them. It just adds more options for gameplay and depending on how they handle it, you could have entirly different storys depending on what you are, instead of the vamps in oblivion where the only change was people didn't like you, stat changes and you have to feed.

Who cares? Some of us won't even touch the main game.

Eh, can't say I care about werewolves and vampires. I wanna know if I can be a lich.

I personally love werewolves and vampires, but if a playable lich is an option, hell yes! Whatever keeps me from being normal.

I dont buy that reason, do you really think we are not going to buy Skyrim because they are not in? I'm sure they know that we will buy Skyrim regardless, not to mention we are the minority. As a matter of fact I honestly dont know why someone would sign up for this forum if they weren't buying Skyrim at one point or another.

I can say it's about a 99% no. The game would be virtually unplayable if your character became a Lich, then add the fact that there's no cure...

If neither werewolves nor vampires were in the game, I think they'd say so. They're obviously teasing and want it to be a surprise.

It honestly amazes me that people still keep asking the question. Although saying that, some people were surprised to see the Dark Brotherhood confirmed after similar teasing...

I dont consider it a main focus of the game either and I think thats a bit what he meant. He shot that question down really fast... I really dont know what to think actually. Its still up in the air to me, could be, might not be in, we'll have to wait and see.

I'm actually very excited for werecreatures and vampires. While his response doesn't exactly specify a yes or no, it seems they may be in. I may be optimistic though.

I'm sure they know Skyrim is home to plenty of werecreatures and supposedly the strongest tribe of vampires, the Volkihar. They wouldn't overlook this and not put them into the game would they?

I'm not going to have my hopes too high. I'll be looking for them when I play through though.

The supernatural dark aspect of it, my friend. To roleplay such thing is interesting. But I am 100% sure everyone else will buy it for their reasons.

[censored], its starting to get irritating. Although I'm leaning towards it being a no, just worded so that the fans don't start rioting.

He also said they were still in Alpha, they could be deciding whether or not to KEEP them in the game. Or they are just keeping it a pleasant surprise, but either way.

If they are in, I don't see the point of removing it. It's not like everyone is going to deliberatly get infected since everyone wants to "Slay Dragonz" and "Burp Dragonshots".
