Dear Crytek,

For many years, you have provided us with fantastic gaming experiences. Far Cry and Crysis pushed the envelope as far as most PCs could go. Crysis Wars was had some of the best multiplayer mechanics around. When I reminisce later in life, I will remember this gaming period as 'The Crysis Years'.

I love the subtleties, easter eggs, and small elements that make me smile. One such item greeted me when launching the demo.

'PRESS START TO BEGIN'

Ahhh, the memories. A phrase that invokes such fantastic memories of my childhood. A true homage to the great games of yesteryear.

Alas, it was not to last. The hordes have arrived, and are chomping at your every flaw. Rather than accept you for the game you are, the community expect you to be a flawless goddess, showering us with your golden essence with every pixel that you render. Your integrity has been doubted, and you have relented, thus: 'Press enter to begin'.

So Crytek, I urge thee not to sacrifice your values. Please, for all of our sakes, re-instate one of the finest gaming subtleties of 2011.

Please bring back 'PRESS START TO BEGIN'.
