I don't notice aim assist in this game as hard as I notice it on call of duty... Sometimes I don't even notice that a guy is camping in the bushes and when you just walk by, my cross air sometimes just sticks to the guy camping in the bush although I didn't notice him. I have to say, although I hate campers, that isn't really fair and it's pretty annoying too when that happens, you don't expect your cross air to do something you don't want to do.

Although the same can be said with the red names above the enemies... If you accidentally move your cross air over a guy camping in a bush (and you can't see him, or didn't notice him yet) the red name will give his position away. So you'll have to remove that too then if you really want FPS to be challenging. In real life they don't have aim assist nor a red name on an enemy + friendly fire is always on. :)

But as I said I don't notice a lot of it in this game. It's almost as if I don't have aim assist. :P

Oh I've seen and experienced it... I experienced it the same time as I saw it because IT WAS ME.. But like I said.. Just have servers that get rid of that. But this isn't the PC. We do not have a mouse of awesome precision. We have an anolog stick.. NOT A MOUSE.

True, I'd definitely test it to see what it's like, but I don't care if they do it or not. Aim assist can sometimes save your ass. Although it can f*ck things up when 2 plays show up at the same time too. :P

Signed, but cod has it, you can't turn it off in MP. So i guess it would be cool if they offered a choice, but most people wouldn't play it (maybe)

What there needs to be a petition for is, the penalty for killing someone while STILL in stealth mode to be alot longer suit re-charge, because the current one does not deter people from staying cloaked and just holding the fire button down. It is a cheap kill, but the penalty should be longer.

Aim assist is needed in games on consoles, every shooter has it. And PC games are way more accurate...so that's why they don't need it.

I both play PC and PS3, and consoles need aim assist.

it's that simple

yes aim assist is pretty stupid

honestly the first time i took aim assist off was in COD when my friends were playing hide and seek and the auto aim simply locked onto people and gave em away

in crysis its not as dumb but still geting locked on while flying through the air should not happen

Whats the problem with Aim-assist? I don't use it, but I understand some people do because they're not that good you know...

Not everyone is L337.
FPS's take no skill. A five year old can pick up any FPS & destroy ppl. There's a reason no FPS has ever WON GOTY.

I guess the auto-aim is kinda like a hacker using an aimbot on the PC side?

I have the PC version, specifically so I can use my mouse for aiming. The game does require some practice and skill.

Was thinking of getting it for PS3 but may hold off now that I read your post on the auto aim.
Thanks!

I'm not the best at FPS games but when I first got Killzone 2 I spent a few hours playing Skirmish to get a hang of the controls and then went online and I must say I did pretty well. Went up 7 ranks in about 2hours. I understand that aiming with a controller can be difficult but practice is needed.

Auto-Aim kinda destroys the game, now any noob can join a game and own anyone who is aiming manually. Hopefully we can get dedicated servers with options to disable auto-aim (like Metal Gear Online) or better yet, just remove it completely or freakin PRACTICE!!. If you can't aim with a controller, go buy the pc version.

I wouldn't mind if autoaim was disabled on the sniper rifles. Because then players who just quickscope have to aim manually. It will make the game more balanced and will encourage less people to use sniper rifles.

its a console game, ditching auto aim would not be a great idea from any sort of practical or business standpoint. tbh the auto aim doesnt seem that strong like a cod game that tracks people through walls(love when it tells me where a camper is hiding lol) i can see having a non aa playlist though i can imagine it being diff to find full games like that. witht the time it takes to kill and the speed of players, it most likely wouldnt be as fun as you think.
