Petition: Follower Modification

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:55 am

I have Skyrim on my PS3. My petition is for followers' stats increase when you level. Therefor if you have a favorite follower it wont become obsolete at later levels.

I pretend Faendel is Legolas. I don't need them rising in skill with me, either equip them with better gear or prevent slashing into them when they have low HP.

Which is all fine and dandy, but even with the best gear for them they end up with low health they will be 1 shotted and crawling on the ground before i can even draw my bow.

Well, follow the Pirate Code then.

We fight so we can run away.

On a more serious note, Conjuration is best your second alternative. I never use companions, annoying and pull me from that grand experience.

Conjuration is nice if you have infinite amount of perks and can get through the console on PC. However my machine cannot handle Skyrim.

This play through im using a stealth ranger class. So I don't have the perks to waste on Conjuration.

Followers have more broken aspects than working ones — equipping crap gear you want them to simply carry instead of the awesome enchanted stuff you want them to actually use; regenerating/duplicating their default gear constantly, resulting in reduced carrying capacity and other annoyances; wasting all of their arrows and/or staff charges on slaughterfish because there's no way to make them quit until they manage to hit it; terrible pathing, as they're unable to find their way directly to you over even slightly difficult terrain, and often refuse to jump off of very low ledges to follow you; getting lost entirely or stuck in various areas for no apparent reason; and yes, some of them don't level up properly or even at all.

I pretty much expected all of this. It's bad enough on PC where I can use the console to force-delete their hidden inventory, set them as essential and teleport to them if absolutely necessary. I imagine it's absolutely terrible on consoles.

Bit odd you mentioned it like this. I play on the 360 myself and I found some Sneak trees a waste of my perks. I always make room for ONE magic school, because regardless of class, you can use one and help you in versatile situation. Though, you need some Magicka and Conjuration to cast a Flame Atronach, which can be a real helper.

My first character is a conjuration assassin. which was fun until it glitch on the Ps3 ><. However on this char hes level 32 and i have put my perks in sneak bow and speech Tho not a lot in speech. I have not put any points in magicka tho i have saved some gear for it. I have only invested in Stam and health
