Petition for Crysis 2

Post » Sat Feb 14, 2009 10:43 am

As we all may know, Crytek has removed vehicles and any idea of getting more than 12 players on each map. I petition that Crysis 2 have the capability of having more than 6 by 6 person maps. By all accounts may the possibility of some land vehicle be introduced for the sake of being Crysis and to further add to it's gleam. I wish this not be be another Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty series game with killstreaks but to follow it's own example in Crysis Wars. I wish to make our stand, some may disagree but as a PC gamer I feel that we should be given more choice and not to have our voices drowned out. We gave Crysis the support it needed, and now I hope some favor is returned.

im sure they will have vehicles because after all it is a sandbox game. and for the amount of people in each match it will probably be 6 on 6 and possibly have more game types that offer more people.

calm down i dont think they have written off larger than 6v6 games, its just all we know at the moment. think they have got rid of flying vehicles but no word on other vehicles so its all unconfirmed atm, so dont worry i have full confidence in crytek to make this great

We better have the ability to have Vehicles and to have more then 30 players in a server on PC. Console shoudl have the same also. 6v6 or 12v12 is certainly the most stuipid thing I have ever heard, and if it is implimented into the game then shame on Crytek for being cheap and not having Maximum gaming like the intro says they do.

Exactly. They only showed 2 multiplayer modes, so there probably will be more, hopefully with more people and vehicles.
I dont think that 6v6 multiplayer matches will be all that bad. In bad company 2 squad rush is only 4v4, and its still fun.

why is it some people think more people = better gameplay?? there is no logic behind this. more people means more lag and game manipulation

More people= more gameplay options.

You can't exactly have squads running around with tank battalions or aircraft pilots, or an organized prototype factory attack when the matches are 6on6.

Well, last time I checked, the game has a nano-suit, and is designed to let you use that, which becomes incredible difficult inside a tank.

but if you have lots of people you will get lots of lag and the same goes for the vehicles idea because that would create enormous lag so please think of people with low speed internet , plus the game is designed to use the nano suit and that become massively hard if you are in a vehicle the whole time.

vehicles give us diversity, i like nanosuit but if crytek says Nanosuit 2 is better than car or tank on heli then im gonna say i dont think so, i know they r putting a lot of hype into nanosuit 2 vehicles are fun

all that crytek needs to say is 1. there will be vehicles 2. Powerstruggle 3. at least 12vs12 4. dedicated servers and 5. cryengine 3 for free like cryengine 2 came with crysis 1

vehicles make it a more complete FPS like BFBC2, but if it does not have vehicles I am not going to cry.

Crysis2 will be the best looking FPS ever made for consoles .

more than 12 players in a map would be good. just have a gametype where their are more than 6 vs 6 !

ok I know BFBC2 has vehicles but Crysis 2 DOESN'T NEED THEM! srsly the whole idea is that you feel that the suit is like a vehicle and you don't even need a vehicle to cross a big gap because you can just jump, or no need to get some kind of heavy machinery to move that road blockage, just move it with the nano suit, my point is that the whole idea of having this suit is not to get into vehicles with it, the idea is to feel like it is part of you and that you can do anything without needing vehicles

If that's what you'll say you might as well not bother getting the game as they have decided to have 6v6 and won't change this.

That was the sandbox editor not the actual engine but I agree I hope they add the editor in Crysis 2 also and let us make our own maps. But have a feeling it won't happen since it is in NY and editor would have to be huge to accommodate all the various structures and extras.

I agree, this is exactly what Crytek is getting at and I like the idea personally. Even though vehicles were fun in crysis wars this is going to be a new experience, new fun and new stuff to play around with while in the nanosuit.

I dont think there's going be a sandbox editor either sadly. Ive read that CryEngine 3 is only for organisations (game companies) that can buy the licence to make games with.

CE3 has been available for professional and educational licensing for many months now. Crytek haven't said they've ruled out something more for the modders out there. In fact, going off Nathan's responses to question on the matter, i'd guess at the opposite.

Yeah... 20v20 is awesome but did you see the map sizes!? 20v20 would be way too chaotic. It would become CoD4 all over again
