Signed, Pc got them why treat different platforms differently.

Crytek themselves said they didn't want tp punish anyone for choosing a particular platform to play it on.

Well, us on 360 are getting spanked crytek.

I would love dedicated servers, but in the meantime....bar sitting waiting ages to join a game most of the time (especially team stuff) once I am in the games have been pretty solid. Think leveling up the suit made a massive difference to my game.

I would like to see dedicated servers for a game like this, however I realize that if it was not setup from the getgo it will more than likely not happen.

Ok... just out of curiosity.
IF, in a fantasy world where Crysis 2 did have Dedicated Servers, would you pay for one?
For as far as I know, most console gamers are ppl who don't sit on a lot of money. (this may not be true for you but that is not the point atm)
You can moan all you want but who's gonna pay for those servers?
Because I'm convinced that console gamers don't like spending money on anything other then games themselfs.

I can only imagine ppl cheering they got servers, but no one willing to pay for them because... (get this)
Once micro$oft realises they can make more money by making dedicated xbox servers, they will, and you can bet your left testicle that they will shake every last penny from your wallet.
Micro$oft's monopoly behaviour will cost you money, and in the end you'll wish you didn't ask for them.

It's Never too late for a Serious patch and dedicated servers:) Infact it's most probably easier to change the netcoding and direct people to one static IP dedicated server based upon your location, then trying to get us to use P2P over multiple IPs:) Crytek should ask a Guerrilla Games which made "Class A" Netcoding, applied Regional Server Selection with Dedicated servers how to do it, like they did it with KZ3 or DICE from BF BC2 which Redirect U to the nearest Dedicated Server based upon your location:)

I know, but the problem is that Crysis 2 is already out, with that netcode and without DS.
You can't re-done the entire Netcode with a patch, but only improve the base and fix issues...and the base is: P2P. And not DS.

Gears of War 2, for example, received like 10 patches after launch from the community feedback, but the Dedicated Servers will be available only for GoW 3, the next, chapter, after years.

So, it's pure Utopia to see DS in Crysis 2.
Let's hope, at least, to see some serious improvements to the P2P-Netcode for better ping-IP Host Selection and Migrations, and for a major speed-up and stabilization of the Matchmaking system.

They better copy what Bungie has done with Halo: Reach right now instead of Bad Company 2, cause the netcode is pretty much closer with the first one instead of the second title...

That is simply not true.

Console has 24 players because thats all the online infrastructure can handle on those platforms for Battlefield.

Yes I know MAG has a lot more, but thats not Battlefield.

You can have as many players you want on dedicated servers. to an extent.

I am pretty sure Xboxlive has a minimum system requirement of 512KB Broadband (Half a meg). All games must be able to run with 512KB.

256 player matches would be nigh on impossible on that sort of connection, hence most games are limited to 16 player games, sometimes 24 as in the case of Battlefield and Big Team Battle modes on Cod/Halo.

Not sure about PS3.

I heard that they were testing DS on some Gears 2 playlists. but thats beside the point DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS GAME WILL GET DS WITH ALL THE ISSUES AND LACK OF PR FEEDBACK. nO...AND WITH PEOPLE DROPPING THE GAME WITH TRADE INS ECT...WHY THE HELL IS THIS PETITION HERE? There is absolutely no way they are going to give us DS at this time. sorry i hit my caps halfway through

Yes please...

US servers for US players,
UK servers for UK players,
Euro servers for Euro players,

Yea I know UK is Euro, but we have such a slow and crap internet struchture, so please UK servers for UK players.

Also, i don't think paying for dedicated servers wouldn't be a problem, plenty of clans do it, I have rented public game servers in the past. I feel if it sorts out the lag problem then it would be well worth the effort.

Where did you hear Crysis 2 sold better on the 360?

The 360 accounts for 57% of Crysis 2's sales, with the PS3 taking 29% and the PC raking in a miserable 14%. Maybe they were too busy torrenting it or something.

If that's true, it's bad.

I played Crysis on the pc to death, was a great game, would have thought that it sold more on the PC, all my m8s have 360 and not one of them had heard off crysis, so none of them bought C2, lol.

If your like me and live in Australia (or any country far from the US or UK), this game is incredibly laggy. I'm over meleeing someone 5 times just to have them turn around and kick my ass. If your going to market a game in a country, make it possible to play without pulling your hair out due to frustration with laggy hit detection, otherwise don't release it here.

This game really needs dedicated servers, it's unfair that pc players get them but we don't. Like a lot of people I only buy FPS for multiplayer, so It svcks buying a game for $110 (we also pay ridiculous prices for games) only to find the that I can't get a single game with more than 2 bar connection (no exaggeration).
