At least Crytek pulled a patch out in 9 days, not like some that take weeks or months.

Internet petitions regarding entertainment products are possibly the single most pointless things going. Name me a single one that ever got a result. I can't, simply because most companies aren't in the habit of basing their business models on the fickle demands of a tiny proportion of their fanbase.

They're not only pointless, but they're incredibly childish and self-indulgent. If you wish to make a petition or do a protest, do it for something worthwhile like making overty history rather than lag in a videogame.

Actually, the Yakuza 4 petition wasn't a waste of time It got the game an international release... Or was that Yakuza 3... I can't remember

Anyways, I support the Dedicated server thing, but still, i'll stand by Crytek with whatever decision they make, the multiplayer is fun enough already

Doomed Marine: Game obviously cannot handle player hosting. It needs dedicated servers like the PC version. Nearly every game I play people are whining about lag issues. Other wise fix the network code and make the game select the best connection.

Or if like many games I play, if the majority of players are Australian, pick an Aussie to host, not the single person from America or UK who happens to be in the game. I'm yet to have 4 green bars and I'm on a high speed ADSL2+ connection. I only ever see one person in a match with 4 bars and I'm assuming that is whomever is host.

Maybe do something like HALO Reaches option to search for games with good connection, or show players bars in the lobby to see whether it's worth staying or leaving before the match. If you can show them in game and after the match, surely it can be done before the game also.

we defo need servers otherwise whats the difference between this and cod they will both be unplayable for most of the people buying the game.

i dont see the difference between having servers on pc and on xbox if you do it for 1 you should do it for them all. come on CRYSIS team some times it takes a person to stand up and say we need to do it like this we need to make a momrpg that really is one..
