[NEW] PETITION FOR DEDICATED SERVERS - Xbox360

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 2:52 am

I did not create the original thread, nor do I condone the un-necessary over spamming of a link to this post.

I also think that if a moderator can take the time to delete and ban a certain member of the community for spamming, then those same moderators can spend the same amount of time posting a locked statement of relevant information about the problems facing the gamers, and give them some indication that work is being done to solve the largest and most pressing problems a lot of people are facing. Something IN THIS FORUM, because so far any statements made as to issues faced have been made almost exclusively in the PC FORUMS.

But I do think that this is a good indication of how many gamers WANT a decent playability and a certain level of support behind the huge potential for this game in Multiplayer.....

Please Sign your support for dedicated servers on the Xbox Below, and please keep the thread (for the most part) civil...

Thank You - MullPig

Internet petitions regarding entertainment products are possibly the single most pointless things going. Name me a single one that ever got a result. I can't, simply because most companies aren't in the habit of basing their business models on the fickle demands of a tiny proportion of their fanbase.

They're not only pointless, but they're incredibly childish and self-indulgent. If you wish to make a petition or do a protest, do it for something worthwhile like making overty history rather than lag in a videogame.

Absolute self-indulgent waste of time.

And your comntribution to this thread ISN'T Self-Indulgent?
You come across far more childish then I ever managed to. All I ever stated was that this was a "Good Indication" of support for dedicated servers, where precisely did I go on to state that it was going to be sucessful, or that it would amount to change?
If you want to change the world, please, by all means put down the keyboard you manage to wield in the manner of a broadsword and go out into society and do so.
Because by haunting video game forums you have so far managed to do little beyond be annoying and be ignored.
This thread was never intended for you to come and troll, it was intended to give people some form of a collective voice in their displeasure, and rally around a single focal point so that the Moderators can view the combined discourse without having to sift through the huge amounts of threads and replies being posted.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE NOT HERE TO SIGN YOUR SUPPORT PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER HAVING A RANT AND A SOOK, WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT THERE HAS BEEN ENOUGH OF THAT - THANK YOU

@MullPig I was going to reply him, but I avoided it, so no MOD comes here and says "oh it's a flame topic" and close it. Just ignore him with his BS :)

I created the original petition last night. Ok so i 'spammed' the link 10 -15 times. So what? I was spreading the word. How else was i supposed to do it, im just so pissed off with this game.

Anyway my other account MolochZ has been banned and the thread closed. No pm from a mod or any warning.
Im just an average gamer who buys 5--7 titles every year. I just want them to work after i shell out 50 bucks. I feel like ive just bought Modern Warfare 3.

THIS GAME IS BROKEN!!!!!!!

Dedicated servers don't mean anything. Doesn't matter if you have dedicated servers or its p2p, a poor networking team is still a poor networking team.

BFBC2 and Homefront both are on dedicated servers. BFBC2 ran horribly for the first 2 months after release(an EA published game BTW) and Homefront is still a turd online and awaiting its first patch from MCSFT CERT. Dedicated servers means NOTHING!

You do NOT need dedicated servers to get good match making, connection and hit detection. MW2 proved that, hopefully some kind of patch in the net code will fix it. I highly doubt dedicated servers will be made available.

P2P hosting is the console standard. Dedi-servers are never going to be put in because there is not much demand or any use for them when consoles are concerned. When it boils down to it, the game is just bogged down by bad netcode which the method of hosting has no influence over, it's all down to the guy who coded the network infrastructure.

I'm all for dedicated servers. I think all MP games nowadays should operate this way; in fact, we should demand it as gamers!

Dedicated Servers aren't the answer. If you think that you are deluding yourself.

Straight up. The game's netcode just svcks. Plain and simple. Not sure if something like that can be patched with a TU, but I know for sure that an overhaul of the matchmaking functionality will take more than a single TU.

I have no real problems with the game right now. But if it's going to mean people are going to stick around so I can spank them in Multi, I will sign.

Yeah because the PC community know that p2p is much better than dedicated servers. Why do people need to post in this petition for Dedi servers if they don't want them?

Troll somewhere else.
