A dog/wolf perhaps. But wouldn't really care if they're not in.

The rest feels kinda lame.
You seriously want a mud crab as a pet?
And a Daedroth? They aren't pets, they are monsters. There is a difference you know...

A Scamp is also Possible because i saw some Npc's having a Scamp as an Pet in Oblivion

It'd be neat if they could make different legs of soul-trapping, one of them giving you the ability to "tame" lesser creatures. Or maybe all creatures depending on your skill in that area.

Yeah but that's more of something fun, something humorous and not very serious. Like in Morrowind.
A scamp is perhaps OK, but still feels lame to have it yourself. Because having an actual pet in Skyrim would most likely be serious, rather than a little joke.

That's stupid. I don't know about any of you guys, but I'd rather see Bethesda work more in the area of programming an experienced gorilla butler. I'd name it Benson and pay it in skooma. :D

IF there were to be pets, I think it should be limited to only those which make any sort of logic..... those are Dog and Wolf.

There were no NPC's in OB who had a Scamp as a pet. What you are referring to (I think) is in the Mages guild, someone had a "summon" of a Scamp. Summoning is different than having a pet.

Also, if there were to be pets, I do not want them to be fighting alongside you. Dragon Age O tried that, and it was horrible IMO. However, in Dragon Age 2, they made it to where it was a "summon" to have the dog by your side and it went away after a time (even though you still own it and can see it when you go to your house). If it were in fighting as a "summon" that's okay with me. Otherwise, no.

A wolf, a raven or hawk, or both. Basically a Skyrim dogmeat. I think its a pretty great idea as something to emotionally project on to whilst not requiring that much effort on the developers part, no real dialogue necessary etc and with their apparently being a lot of companions I'm pretty optimistic about seeing one or two animal companions.

Search button FTW. I'd want pets to have a purpose and not be in the game because they are pets, youno-whattam-sayin?

Awww, I was hoping for a topic about house pets, pets have been done before.... well in Shivering Isles you could get a Skinless Hound pet, tho it'd more then likely get itself killed in 5 minutes... overall, I find any sort of companion or combat pet annoying in these types of games, house pets would be nice, then again wouldn't want a troll as a house pet, they spend too much time on the Internet.

hahaha a monkey, really?
I think pets would be fun, even mudcrabs. It was nice having a scrib follow you around in Mournhold. Those aren't too far a cry.

I want to play Dunmer and have an Argonian as a pet. :hubbahubba:

But really I would want an arctic fox, because they look cool and maybe could help with finding things or letting me know when strange enemies are around.

I think they probably won't do it. Maybe in an expansion like Tribunal in morrowind or so.
Not that I want it because it probably will have a lot of mods doing that anyway (maybe some good too).

You listed a baby dragon and a daedroth as freakin' pets??? And what is a troll doing in that list?
And also Goblins aren't animals.

Based on what they've said about companions in Skyrim, I'll actually be pretty surprised if there aren't animals you can befriend.
