Phat Lute!

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 9:40 pm

I just woke from a stay at the Riverwood Inn to hear a lute piece being played. Not any of the ones the bard’s do, just the standard background track. Got to say, I was impressed.

There is so much amazing music in this game, and all of it in the “theme” of the period, or hypothetical period anyway. Very classical sounding.

The theme in Drunken Huntsman was also one I made note of early on as particularly well put together.

Kudos to Jeremy and the sound/music team for their excellent work. Even got a few tracks from Morrowind in the mix! :)

I wish the Bards stop playing when I ask them to, they never seem to do and interrupt the actual GOOD background music of an inn..

The music is fantastic - it's up there as my favourite musical score to a game with the music from Arcanum, the string quartet score from that has ranked at number 1 for years. This is now tied with it.

That's why you murder every one of them and set fire to the Bard's College. :whisper:

I also find it amazing how they can sometimes sing and play instruments while they don't have any instrument in their hands and their mouth isn't doing anything.
