So I was listening to some ol clasio. ( classical piano ;) )

And I realized how epically beautiful his music was, then played morrowind and oblivion to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtlemJ0BNQU, this is a quick example.

You could also use this thread for any music related themes. :foodndrink:

I do enjoy that song (thanks for showing it to me! :foodndrink: ) but I don't see the purpose of your post. Do you want this composer for Skyrim?

Edit: Whoops, I meant Skyrim, not Oblivion.

[/quoteOh sory, should have stated, I would him to feature in future games, and see if you guys would like Him in Skyrim, some of his pieces are happy and joy full, while others are eerie and mysterious.

It's real purpose was to serve as a music mash up for Skyrim :disguise:

Well, I would have to hear more of his music to have a proper opinion, but while I think that is an amazing song I don't think it feels right for TES.

I do think I gave you the wrong song, but Your opinion is yo opinion dude! Try this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDldE70Asjk

At a slower pace I would love that for exploration music.

OK, if this is going to become a "who'd you like to hear" thread, I have a few I'd like to hear. George Oldizey, Ultima IX's composer, for a start. James Dangerfield, who composed the music for the Ultima: Lazarus remake. Blake Robinson (Dummeh), who seems to be more into making orchestral-style remixes of Sonic music, but I'm pretty sure would be good to hear in an Elder Scrolls game. Any of those composers would be nice to see for me.

Better to stick to one composer. That way the style is consistent throughout the game.

I like this music, too  , but I would prefer to hear it (like every "piano-only-music") in a special building (i.e. a mansion of some wealthy family) or inn, etc.
For exploration in the countryside I like J. Souls (or other) "fantasy-orchestra-like" music more.

But I do lke to hear a piano-version of some great TES-themes like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5ke1TuizQk&feature=autoplay&list=QL&index=6&playnext=1, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcEhgbY39l4&feature=BF&list=QL&index=1 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veWnhcbKl3k&feature=related, for example (but like above not for exploration in fresh air / outside). :tes:

I think Jeremy Soule is incredible, in fact he is one of my top favorite video game music composers, but I wouldn't mind the addition of a new musical mind as well. Not completely taking over, but using a new guy to add in more ideas.

Allthough his name is >Oldziey<.

Also nice music.

(...) Blake Robinson (...)

I don't know this guy. Do you have a proper link for an example ?

Nah mate, I mostly played Oblivion to the sound of an English/Irish punk folk band "The Pogues". Worked surprisingly well, even made my own personal mod to include the music (Well, a music replacer), but I can see how this music works with TES 4 as well.

It doesn't have to be a problem, if the "other" music is only played in special locations (i.e. dungeons, taverns, castles, etc.) and fits for the mood / atmosphere of this location.

Thanks. :icecream: - Added the link to my music-collection.

Hm, the example you gave sounds like a battle-theme (but it's a bit too monotone, for my taste) ... but the sonic-medleys are not bad at all ( and kind of simmilar to J. Soules music, imo).

lol; "TES 4" is Oblivion.

Well, I would say "The Pogues" are at least a very special music-style (and I'm afraid, not many would consider them as fantasy-rpg-fitting at all - but that's a matter of personal taste, of course  ... the first song I heard from them reminded me of the Titanic movie (with the Irish dance-part) - great, but not for fantasy, imo).

Hm, >Star Wars< ? - What's next ? >Star Trek< ?
... but the music itself is great, too.

Yes, also very nice ! (not only for battle; I could imagine it for exploration parts, too (i.e. for the first arrival of o huge and monumental city or such). :tops:

It seems, I'm very lucky today :D ... Do you (or other) have further great example-links for fantasy-music / -composers ?
