Pick Four Tournament

Pick Four Tournament

This tournament idea is easy. Here are the rules:

(1) Pick any four SPECIAL attributes and give them 9 points. One point in the others. Then you have one point left, so lift one of your ones to a two. You cannot use intense training to improve these attributes, but you can wear equipment or find bobble heads or earn quest rewards to improve them.
(2) You can select any three skills to be your main skills at the beginning of the game. Those skills must all be maxed out before you can select any other skill. When all three of those starter skills are maxed, you select another skill and max it out. When you max the fourth skill, you can pick a fifth skill. This continues, skill after skill, until you complete the game (whatever that means) or die.
(3) You are not allowed to select a perk that gives points to SPECIAL or to skills other than the ones that you have already dedicated yourself to. For instance, in the beginning, you cannot select the "Daddy's Boy (or Girl)" perk unless both medicine and science are among your three dedicated skills.

NOTE: Skills can be enhanced with equipment whether or not they have been selected to be maxed out.

If you plan your character well, you may be able to build a very effective character, but if you decide to just jump in and generate your character without thinking, it could be disaster.

I am going to try this and keep you posted as to my progress. If you would like to join me, do so by posting your plan like this:

NAME: Lump (male)

SPECIAL 9's: Strength ? Endurance ? Intelligence ? Luck

SPECIAL 2: Perception

THREE STARTER SKILLS: Lockpick ? Sneak ? Small Guns

SUBSEQUENT SKILLS IN THIS ORDER:
Explosives ? Science ? Melee Weapons ? Big Guns ? Repair ? Barter ? Medicine ? Speech ? Energy Weapons ? Unarmed

One active thread about tournaments at a time is sufficient, you're welcome to make a central thread for a variety of ideas, we've had that before.
