I like this decision. Otherwise one of the Soldier's main abilities (Giving out ammo) wouldn't be as useful.

That's pretty unforetunate. Instead of relying on folks to actually come together to be a team, this game sets up so essentially its forced on you. Like putting chains on a wild dog.

People won't be a team for the purpose of the game or their team but simply becuase they have to to even play.

It so many games if your that good you often win games by yourself, no so in Brink. Its hard for me to play with pubs since so many people just svck online.

A logical choice in my book but something of a problem I think for Operatives as it will effectively limit just how much damage they can do behind enemy lines due to the fact they either have to grab an isolated CP early to ensure one ammo restock at least or that they have to retreat from enemy territory and relink up with friendly Soldiers/CP's.

Don't get me wrong, I think this is a very good thing as it will encourage Operatives to stay with at least a Soldier every now and then but I think it will annoy a lot of Ops players. Maybe not right now but once we are actually playing the game.

good that means that no one person can fail in combat or in objective. like in the army you are only as strong as your weakest link. and if no one tows the line then everyone fails. i like it.

Also forcing you to work as a team in a team based game?!?!?!? Oh the humanity! Its like complaining that Sim City forces you to build houses.

The world of xbox, as far as I'm concerned, is a world of lone wolves tied together by a common game. I do my part to help a team cause when its needed but I often find that its only the one guy making that crucial push or dropping med packs to his team. Other than that its, "Oh I can get kills here or XP there."

Even "team based" games like Bad Company 2 are full of snipers lining the map doing whatever they want. I've got good by the pressures formed from this hinderance. Its also why I have many of the views I do.

Only when I'm plaing with my friends, most ex military, do I truely see the potential of teamwork as we work like one unit. Unforetunatley, due to the cartoonyness of Brink, I'll be doing this one all but alone. I got hope for the game, I really do, or I would have run a long time ago.

The thing is with BRINK forcing you to work as a team it may should either force the lone wolves to change, and the people who don't/won't change will give up. I've had games of Bad Company when most of the other team is Snipers and most of our team was snipers as well. My squad carried the whole game, then explained to one of the snipers how i got almost 4x his points and he changed.

Edit: Grammar failure

As an operative fan doesn't bother me a bit. I intend to have support. I just go in first.

Nope that is for supply pips only, then again it allows the Soldier to hand out ammo more often.

I wouldn't see the harm in this, It makes you play more as a team, and less of a one man army.
Just another reason why it's good to co-operate with team mates, mind you this means I'm probably going to have to start making friends on PSN.

Well, considering the fact that the heavies can carry a Medium main as their secondary, and the mediums can carry a light main as their secondary, I don't see this being much of a problem for anybody except light Ops that don't know how to use a pistol.

Well any light really not just ops. Still you can manage with pistols might need to go back to medium.

Right, I'm just figuring that a light Op behind enemy lines can't get a refill as easily as a light on his own side of the battlefield, so any light BEL.

I understand the team based things. it's awesome. truly.

but this is another of the few things that might hold this game back. Why force a team to have a certain character on the team? Suggest is good, but forced is what happens with a setup like this. I say this cause it looks like you have to put 1/2 to 1/3 of a clip into someone to down them. Ammo will be needed. Soldiers will be NEEDED, not suggested.

I am sure it all works out.....I am sure it's going to be ok. So far, medic and soldier are the 2 I would like to play as.

Agreed on that point. However since I have a knife I am never out of ammo.

1/2 to 1/3 is way to much depending on the gun. Either your aim is bad or they are hopping around like a ninja on crack.
