Picking SPECIAL before knowing the perks?

...and all but play the game for us :(
Maybe down the road I'd buy one, just in case I missed something. But, I'll probably just use a wiki when that time comes.

Cool if you like it, but I could never get into game guides.
Just seems like a big spoiler, or like having god mode on GTA. Different strokes, I guess.

I know what you mean. I usually only use them for very basic information, but I like to collect them anyway if it's for a very high profile game.

I bought it but won't even look at it until I'm done with the game, with the exception of learning more about how all the skills/ perks, etc are interrelated. I finished FO3 and NV feeling like Bethesda left me in the dark about certain things they should not have, and this is the reason for my decision.

This is admirable. And very smart.

No worries :)
I myself am hoping there is a lot of stuff that we get left in the dark on, as far as hidden quests/content.
I know am going to get a few thousand hours out of this game (I can feel it), so I hope that even at hour 2300, I might just find something new.

Oh man, it would be freaking great if the regular edition came with a perk poster in the package. I know that's included in the Pipboy edition.

honestly judging by promotional pictures of the pip boy edition, the perk poster is all about looks, its not gonns be much of practical use.
