Has anybody managed it successfully? I have always failed even with 100% chameleon and 100 in sneak, security and agility.

I never fail to fail. I tried on one character.... gave up. After all, he IS the master. You can pickpocket him after he's not the Gray Fox though....

I did it successfully the first time. I stole lockpicks from him. Then lol'd.
