16 Pics up on Gamespy

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:27 am

I did search to see if anyone had posted this, but couldn't see it.

Anyway, 16 pics on gamespy are up. I'd seem most, but some were new to me.

They were all released a few hours ago on the Bethblog, which is why all the gaming sites have them now.

So it looks like GI's exclusive rights to Skyrim content in the US have ended?

Might this mean an update to the official site soon?

I think GI exclucivity (no it is not a word, but you should be able to understand what I am saying) ended when the next Bethesda Podcast was mentioned. It went to the marketing team again. :)

"Exclusivity" is indeed a word. You were on the right track.

I'm also hoping for an official site update soon.

anyone else notice how the undead in pick # 7 have beards?

or that in pick # 11 he seems to have metal plating on his thighs?

or that in pick # 8 there seems to be a horn of some kind on the bottom of the quiver sling? kinda hard to miss but you can see how the tip is separate from the sling.

Definitely not a moose, more of a stag than anything else.

Elk, they said there in the game, I wish they had moose.

They called that an elk? Must be pretty malnourished, even at a younger age they still look a lot bigger/thicker than that.

i wonder if we can hang around giants and talk to them a little?

they did say there would be random events like a group of giants asking for help to hunt down a mammoth.

I never even noticed the antler on that elk.. deer, whatever that thing is. Flipping through the magazine, I always thought it was a wolf lol. I feel stupid now, guess I never really looked too closely at it.

It looks like a dog with antlers. A deer's neck is generally more vertical.

Of all the shots available, this one is my favorite. The light and shadows are brilliant. The beech(?) trees looks so nice. The broken tree on the right shows fresh, light colored wood under the bark. This is extraordinary. The character's clothing and gear look very cool, too. The visuals produce a sense of what it would feel like to touch the feathers of the arrows and the leather of the quiver. Very nice.

I agree. I hope when the game comes out it actually looks like that.

That's also one of my favourite screenshots from Skyrim (so far). It, along with the Markarth Side screenshot, reminds me of Rivendell from LotR. I also like the screenshot with the Dragon atop the ruins with misty mountains behind it, gives me a sense of grandeur somehow.

I have the GI mag and saw the screenshots in there, but this is different, higher resolution and larger, seeing these really makes me more excited for the game, just look at the detail! The dragon perched is also my favorite shot, very artistic and very LOTR, although I like the shot with the hunter hunting the elk(?) because I am pretty sure an Archer or Ranger will be my first charachter choice in Skyrim!
