I use facegen with reference photos from the internet then import them into a savegame. My current character is another version of my earlier Adrianna Lima face.

I homebrew my faces, and at least one has ended up looking good. Hard work can pay off, but I like to do it quick. I just go for certain spots that bug me about the face, so I make the jaws thinner, add a overbite, thin the head, lighten the head, and often end up sending the inside brow as far down as I can. It looks pretty cool, to be honest. Not always angry, like I'd think, but often serious. And since I don't play myself in the game, which, to be completely honest, would be funny, but also hard to do some of the time, since the game has some rather Black and White moral aspects, and I like shades or gray.
Oh, and I often set the hair to the longest I feel is needed to convey that I want hair that isn't a awesome bedhead style, and make it sort of silver. Not shiny, though, just silver. I'm not old, but I like the idea of having silver hair, even more so with long silver hair.

Just stick with some basic tweaks, and you'll find that it's easy to make a face look nice, just so long as you don't worry about http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/6337-4-1242273188.jpg. Speaking of which, I need to play the game some more(and no, that wasn't my screenshot, but I wish it was, because then I'd know where I got those pants).

I generally pick one of the presets and then customize it a bit... change the jaw or chin... lower cheekbones.... lower browline.. change the tone... I think its a lot easier to get a good looking face that way. Or you could just hit random till you get something you like and maybe tweak it.

Anyways, here's some screens to get back on-topic...

Oh, shocking. That looks a bit like a mess up on his part, since he should have beat them with a feather first. A Swine Feather(used with muskets to allow better aim while lying down on soft ground, also made me metal).

I still think the best way is to use http://www.facegen.com/

I don't know if the free version causes any issues, as I use the paid version, but it allows a lot more freedom than the in game creation.

Then use http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4094 to import your creation into a saved game.

I just use the first preset then once I step out of the vault I save, close the game, and import my Facegen face, then go back in game and pick a hairstyle flattering to the face using showracemenu and do some minor tweaking to the shape.

I love this. Especially the glow. Did you change the material property to get it like that, similar to the "lava" effect in Oblivion?

I always pick one of the presets and then customize it. Eyes, face textures and hair can help to get a nice face.

Thanks ^_^ Wow, that's a good picture! That guys looks meen xD

First you create a Glow Map, then you open the object in NifSkope, add the Glow Map to the BSShaderTextureSet, go to material and set Emissive Color to all white. Then go down to EmitMulti and set it to a value above 1.0, higher the number, more the glow.

I've been trying to take some decent screenshots, but whenever I do the old-school "Trollf's Trick" from Oblivion, I get tons and tons of motion blur when I move the camera. I read somewhere that there's a "tfc 2" and "tfc 3" which perform a similar function to Trollf's Trick, but when I type them into the console nothing seems to happen. Any thoughts? :embarrass:

I think if you are taking damage you get that nasty blur effect whe you move the camera.
If I wait a few seconds I can move the camera without that blur effect.

Nice.
Very nice, but you should have taken some Sativex first. It's not fear and loathing in the Capital Wasteland unless you're stoned out of your right mind. Plus, dogs can't talk unless you're stoned, right?
At least, mine hasn't.
