Urge, MystykStar,
Thanks for the feedback!
I think posters like this can add Alot to the atmosphere of a place, even 200 years after Nuclear war.
Uge,
I can't release them all just yet because most of them are thematic to my mod, and would instantly reveal what I'm doing. So far I've been resistant at putting up a WIP thread because I like the power of surprise and my mod is going to take 9-11 months to finish, so I didn't want the news of it to be ancient on the day of its release.
However there are about a dozen of them that are not necessarily thematic or revealing, I'll look into releasing those.
MystykStar,
I had the same problem with weathering at first, it took some time to create/weather each poster, UV-map it onto a poster-frame from the game and Nifscope the results to work in-game - but its worth it in the end!
I found the easiest way to weather them was to follow the exact example from posters in-game, where there are dozens of tiny rips in the poster and missing/torn edges. I picked a sample poster and used a Magic Wand Mask tool in my graphics program (many have them) to click into each and every rip (while holding control down) and selecting them all. Then I simply copy/pasted the selection into a new image and came up with a, "rip pattern" that I could then use on all 32 posters. Simply rotating the rip pattern around and pasting it in different ways on top of my posters worked great. Then I erased parts around the corners and edges to complete the tearing. That done, I repeated the magic-wand mask of my own (now torn) painting, but inverted the mask when I was done so all the Non-ripped parts were selected. Copy/pasting that into a new image creates a ripped-poster with actual holes (not white spots) for the rips. Then just map it onto a frame and your good to go!
Cheers and thanks.
