I'm just worried this will head down the road and hang out with Oblivion's thread. 99% of those are half naked women/lizards. I don't mind that as much as the next guy, but really?

So far the majority modbase is very useful and sometimes semi-necessary. But yeah, give it a year or two and FO3 will have it's share of anime-pretty-nvde-total conversion.

Well. people like to look at what they like to look at. *shrug* Can't help that.
Everyone has different tastes. I am female, play a female character, and appreciate the talent/work that goes into some of these characters that (to me) look like my idea of a perfect game character.
I like scenics as well, and action shots. I like your Point Lookout shots because they seem to have an almost spooky mood to them, and that's what I envision PL as. I don't have any of the DLCs, so seeing what I'm missing.

Try posting the same, but male and you'll get a different kind of attention. I did that once in the Oblivion section and got flamed like nothing else, even by the 'regulars.' Yet when I've posted a female character in the same way no one said a thing. :rolleyes:

I notice lately if I post on Nexus most there don't know who I am so are more inclined to not treat me as if I'm invisible and actually speak to me in public.
My character wears clothes that cover the entire body, rarely poses, wears the same armor all the time, is pretty much myself (except I change my clothes ) so she doesn't tart around the wasteland as that's just not me. In real life, because I'm not like that people tend to ignore me. It seems to be the same online too :shrug:

Wow, all I did was post a screen shot of my character's head in response to a post saying "brunettes ftw", because I like blonde hair better. You couldn't even see my character's body at all. Here's an idea - if you don't like a screen shot, just save yourself 30 seconds of your life and move on.

It wasn't directed at you or any of the screenshots in that brunette thing, I'm talking about how the majority of these are half naked women. I posted this topic 6 times, and added most of the stuff to the first post, I don't want to see it turn into an issue of Maxim. I'm a guy, I don't mind half naked women, but when an entire thread that's about screenshots of a game and the mods used in it is slowly turning into what happened to Oblivion's version of this, I'm getting a little worried. If they're nice screenshots, that's great. But if regular screenshots that are just as good get shoved down into the dirt pile while plain ones that have a freakin dominatrix get praised, eh. It's not anywhere near that yet though, so I'm not THAT worried. You did post a nice screenshot.

Ah ok, your first comment about the prettied up women is what made me assume that you meant me. Sorry about that. But honestly, I do know what you mean. I got so sick of seeing the HG body in screen shots...I mean it's a great looking body and all but it DOES get old after a while.

What outfit is that? Something tells me there isn't a male version, but it would be great for a companion

It's Ada's Tactical Suit from Resident Evil 4, ripped from the game. It was a nightmare - like 50 individual object nifs in one mesh. I'm still working on it, for some reason it can cause the game to crash when I equip it. That seems to happen with a lot of items ported from other games for some odd reason. And it's not finished yet, as you can tell from the strap on the front right side.

Ah, ripped. Won't be seeing it on the Nexus then. Still looks pretty good though.

She has brunette roots! Clearly she is a brunette that dyed her hair and as such is awesome.



To be honest making a good looking female character isn't as hard as you would think. If you want some tips followed by some mod advice I'm sure me and some of the others on this forum could give it.

Obviously alot of guys here find pictures of modded chars enthralling, but many also find Other types enjoyable too.

I don't post GREAT PIC! to every poster or I would look silly, but I do try and many others do as well.

But alas, if you stop posting I'm sure there will be many who still will.

I agree with Miaximus about you don't need to fish for votes.I think people post screenshots because they like to do it. In these threads you can see all kind of screenshots: action, landscape, half-naked female chars, male chars, silly and funny screens, etc.
There are screens for all tastes xD.
I like some of the screenshots I see here but I usually don't comment them because I am bit lazy xD.
