Pictures of Fallout Characters #14

I'm texturing since TESIII:Morrowind. This explain that I suppose ... No magical way. Looking at how people (professional or not) are making their texture, guessing how they proceed, trying yourself , see what happen and most often after some try and error, if you are logical you reach the goal, or find some unexpected results that will be useful for another matter or sometimes even better that what where searching to do at the begining. Looking at how things are working RL as well (in fact unconsciously I'm very often looking at real thing and think how to manage to get similar result virtually. No matter if it's a person or a simple every day object :D ). So, time, passion, a bit of luck and will is the best answer I can provide. Like for everything else ;)

We enjoy seeing the result of your work. :)

Its an art form, and your clearly one of the best I've seen doing it.

Hope your saving these collections somewhere, it would make an excellent gallery some day.

Now that the DLCs are becoming available in the "regular" way (to be bought in a store, I mean), I'm about to start a new character and almost everything is done - except I just can't decide what eye colour to use. I think I'm almost sure that the brown eyes look better on her, but I just love green eyes. And I've been staring at the pictures for so long, that I just don't see what looks better anymore. So if some of you could tell me what you think looks better, I'd be really grateful. :)

Here are some screenshots with different hairstyles:

Please help me, I just want to get started with my new game already. :embarrass:

I prefer the green really. At first she looked kinda pale with the green eyes, but I defenatley think they give her more personality with the green eyes.
Brown eyes with brown hair is kinda "generic" so to speak. :P (No offence to those who are brown eyed/haired)

As for hair. Not the second. I think it looks awful. Never liked it since the first time I saw it. But both the others look great.
I'd personally go for no. 3 since no. 1 is quite the "generic" hair for a female in an action game.

Yeah... I try to stay away from the generic. So what? I want to be unique god dammit! :P

Well, it's pretty hard to tell with the sepia tone screen shots. The green eyes come out as a mostly colorless grey, giving them and the face a very cold look. The brown eyes definitely look better in those shots, more warmth to the face, making it look more like a person and less like a mannequin. And for the record though it wasn't asked, I like the first hairstyle best.

I love this forum. So far I have one vote for green and one for brown eyes. And one comment to use the first hair and one not to use the first hair.

But seriously, many thanks to both of you. I'm still undecided, but it's good not to be ignored, even with such a minor request. :)

@ El Di4blo
She'll have the first hairstyle early in the game (when escaping the Vault), then she'll use the second one, because it's more practical in the wasteland (and I'll be mostly wearing a hat or a headwrap anyway, and this hairstyle is displayed properly with a hat). After a while she'll get a head injury (at least I'm planning her to have one, poor girl!), and the doctor will have to shave most of her hair before treating her. After that she'll use the third hairstyle for a long time.
I know, this sounds crazy, but I want my character's appearance to change a little over the course of the game, but I also want to have a roleplaying reason for doing so. Otherwise I'd feel like I'm not playing the game, but having a model pose in a wasteland setting. (No offence of course to people who do like to change their character just for the fun of it, it's just a personal preference.) :)

@ Ashya:
You're right about the colour of the screenshots. I'm using ENBseries, so my game looks like that all the time and I forgot to remove it for the screenshots.

green if you want a seductive, "don't know when she might stab you in the back" sorta character

brown if you want an innocent, naive type character

depends on what kind o character you want to roleplay, seeing as you just came out of the vault though I would say brown, but maybe once you progress and once her karma goes a little bit down then change to green

Unfortunately this character will be neutral, so neither doe-eyed goddy-two-shoes, not cold-hearted green eyed backstabber. I have forbidden myself to change the eye-colour sometime mid-game, because that way the decision is just delayed. No, I must pick one now and stick with it.

Argh, why is this so hard to decide? And why do I care at all?? I mean it's just a stupid eye colour, why can't I just pick one and start my game?! :ahhh:

In the meantime here are some screenshots, so I don't derail this thread completely. No pictures of my character, but mod pictures. :)
