Pictures of Fallout Characters #20

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:38 am

There are some very nice screenshots in this thread.. Also, with some I really wonder what mods they have installed.. I swear, after checking out this thread, I'm definitely going to have to go to Fallout3Nexus again to do some scrounging! :)

Anyway, here are a few days in the life of James Jackson Jr., my heavy weapons nutcase evil-doer:

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5050/shootingupraiders.jpg

http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/9274/protectingrivercity.jpg

Visiting the Pitt turned out to be quite an enriching experience, in more ways than one..

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/5724/inthepitt.jpg

Unfortunately his prolonged exposure to the radiation, pollution and Sickness in The Pitt took their toll on Jackson's appearance. Here we see him hunting ghouls at night by himself..

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/4665/huntingghouls.jpg

Next stop was a business trip to Paradise Falls, with the help of Jericho and Dogmeat..

http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/9761/homesweethomeq.jpg

http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5268/droppingoffslaves.jpg

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/4989/goingback.jpg

http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/2544/returning.jpg

"If that kid comes any closer, maul him for me, will ya?"

http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4869/sickemboy.jpg

Following the business trip, a quick tourist excursion into Downtown. "I swear if you say 'how long am I gonna have to stand here' one more time, I'll shoot you"..

http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/4586/quitwhining.jpg

http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/9880/ourgoal.jpg

After helping out Three Dog with his troubles, the group returned to Megaton for a nice bit of relaxation..

http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4291/megaton.jpg

http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/4378/goingshopping.jpg

A quick smoke before having to deal with Moira..

http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/160/quicksmoke.jpg

Naturally, a bit of fun was also part of the day..

http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/1383/havingfun.jpg

Finally Jackson retires to his perch, high above Megaton, the silent protector, the scourge of the Wasteland..

http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/689/protectorh.jpg

Hope you enjoyed 'a few days in the life of James Jackson'!

Oh, and keep those amazing screenshots coming! It's really cool to see other people's work.. Very inspirational!

What, no Leprechaun? :P

By the way, that fixed mesh you sent for the Awesomefied Plasma Rifle works perfect :goodjob: No more black squares or flashing white boxes. All my NPC's no longer live in fear of me killing or pickpocketing them just to confiscate the offending weapon to stop the flashing :P

Nothing new from me today.

http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/517/11728187.jpg caught my eye returning to 101 to pick up dogmeat after telling him to wait there while I finished the main quest.

What mod is that? That changes the environment?

Looks like Outbreak's Wasteland Moods to me. Haven't used them in a while but he had couple of those superdepressing "weathers"

The UAC is just one part of your system's protection against remote hackers and viruses.

This is where your screenshots are being saved.

C:\Users\"Your Username"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3

You'll need to first enable "Show hidden files and folders" in "Organize > View" or Folder Options.

In order to bypass Fallout 3 putting the files there in the future you need to do this as an Administrator:

1. Right Click your Fallout 3 folder (not the VirtualStore one, this one : C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3)
2. Click Properties
3. Click Security
4. Click Edit
5. Click your Username in the list.
6. Check Full control.
7. Click OK.

That allows your screenshots (and GECK made mods) to be saved in the normal folder rather than VirtualStore, and still maintain the protection UAC offers.

I don't really know how to thank you, this is GOLD! Not only did you solve my screenshot-problem, you solved my G.E.C.K-problem too! Thank you!! :celebration:

The http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6170mod is probably (to me) one of the most immersive mod changes thus far, and what I found totally cool is that when it's storming outside, you can hear the thunder from inside buildings and some interior cells. :) Works in Point Lookout too.

I can't say enough positive things about it, a "Must Have" on my mod list.

Ah, I haven't seen that one before. I've tried a few, even http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8111 which was a nice change.
I don't use anything at the moment.

Is that mod compatible with existing weather mods? I have my own personalized mod with darker nights and more restrained Thermonuclear Sunglare, and am wanting to keep it.

I have found no compatebility issues with it thus far, and with over 400 endorsemants, its also pretty popular.

I find it Amazing myself. Sneaking through a rain-storm has a very cozy feel to it. :)

It smells like... victory.

(poor incinerated husks of the three troopers accidentally caught in the blast notwithstanding. There's a reason they don't let me coordinate bombing runs anymore. >.>)
