Pictures Of Fallout Characters No.28

@Mainframe: Yeah, it svcks. I was hoping to grab some mods, too... By the by, Since you're in Point Lookout now, do you mind if I reccommend a quest mod? I'll PM ya; I don't want to derail the thread.

@Echonite: I love a woman in combat boots... :tops: In all seriousness, I agree completely.

Once the nexus is back up I'll be able to search out for more of those mods :) 'till then, can anyone tell what mod is noticeable?

edit: for the future, should I crop the width so the overall size of the pic is larger? Any preference or is widescreen better

Every printscreen pic I take seem to be squashed to fit a non wide-screen monitor. It's quite annoying. I don't know what happened, it used to work fine.

Anybody know what's wrong?

Use FRAPS. The in-game screen capture is very poor.

How so? What makes it poor in comparison to 3rd party SS utilities like FRAPS?

Well, I don't know about other people, but a lot of times my new screenshots would override old ones that were still hanging out in my file. It happened with Oblivion, too. Not sure what was causing it, but I started using FRAPS afterward and I've had no overrides. Just sometimes I'll forget to start it up before I log in and take twenty-million amazing shots...only to log back out to go look at them and realize FRAPS hadn't been running. Derp. :(

I usually have fraps running in the background... use it for too many games and programs for documenting things. rarely an issue to have it going

I used to use FRAPS too and have it always running. I n fact, I have it start with Windows. It won't let me shut off the HUD before taking a screen shot though. Looks like the only way to do that is to use Groovatron but is saves in BMP so the quality is no problem. I asked because I was/am under the impression that Groovatron use the built-in screen capturing of the game? At least it didn't work until I changed it back in the fallout.ini to allow screenshots. I always had that turned off when using FRAPS.

Use the TM command. (Toggle Menus) It turns off the hud (and everything else).

I've taken maybe twenty screenies so far and nothing overrode. why not move them into a different folder after each time, I have to do that because everything has to be nicely organized or I get fussy.

Does FRAPS give a better quality screenshot?

Uhhh, compared to taking screenshots with the game itself?

Someone said the in game screenshots are very poor, and I noticed my screenshots aren't as nice as some others posted here.

They might just have their graphics settings on a higher quality. Or touched it up in photoshop.

I use printscreen for all of my screenshots. I've never used the in-game screenshot feature, so I wouldn't really know about the quality.

Just wanna throw on a possible spoiler here..

I'm in Point Lookout - completed it in fact & have a nice scar that gets removed right when you leave. So I've decided to carry it back to the wasteland. After a couple of days of failed attempts @ 3DS Max to Niffskope I decided to work on the texture and just move my character to a custom race.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/MainframeTM/Fallout/headscar.jpg

I didn't like the side it was on due to it being covered by my favorite hair so I moved it to the other side. I'm planning since my hair got shaved to showracemenu from time to time to show it growing back..yeah talk about rp huh. Anyway heres the final product.

It's nice; certainly better than the original scar. I really found it hard to believe that I was even alive after getting that big 'ol scar.

Did ya get a chance to check out those quests?

For a while there I had issues with Print screen only working sometimes, so now I use ATI Tray Tools' screen capture hotkey (F12) and point my screenies to another folder. I never noticed if the quality was any different. It works, that's all that matters to me :)

The problem that I'm having is that my printscreen pics are no longer showing up in wide-screen. I take them and they're slightly squished for some reason.

Alright I think I'm done with the scar texture. I'm planning on doing it in stages...seems thou I've worked backwards. lol No worries. Worst part is that I can't make the bandage as long as the finished scar due to the texture getting pulled.

Real world items used - http://www.empiretape.com/images/masking.jpg http://www.brosch-chi.co.uk/acatalog/DW4397B.jpg

1st stage...

And then the scar when it's healed..

Edit -
Come to think about it I can rework that gauze texture =)

2nd edit - why post again in the same thread right after myself. Per certain instructions from him who will remain nameless I'm posting more shots -
