Pictures Of Fallout Characters No.28

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:27 am

THIS IS FOR POSTING PICTURES THAT INVOLVE MODS. Normal pictures go in General.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1071296-pictures-of-fallout-characters-%2327/
http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=954263

Thanks to Rohugh for the guidelines and the other people who worked on that thread for the idea.

Why this is here:
Pictures of Fallout 3 characters is in "Fallout 3 Mods" not only because the screenshots posted involve mods, but to share and introduce mods to people new to Fallout 3, or are just looking for something new to add to their game.

Welcome to the Fallout Screenshot Thread

Some Specific Posting Guidelines with thanks to Bashur (in "addition" to all the ones TES Forums already require)

Welcome! This thread encourages people's feedback about whatever is posted here. However, any criticism of presented screenies, character ideas, stories, etc., should be very specific and constructive. This kind of criticism is a great way for us to learn and improve our skills.

However, due to some extreme and abusive criticism around the time of the Oblivion picture thread's 50th iteration (which was thankfully cleared out by a moderator), it became necessary to post the following:

NO criticism should be directed at the PERSON - only at his or her WORK.
Also, whatever criticism is presented, it should NOT be negative in general terms - such as, "That screenie is really lame." This type of non-specific criticism only insults and does not provide any help whatsoever. Or even worse, this kind of criticism: "You are a silly man with a silly idea." If you really must say something negative to someone outside of this simple "code", keep it off this thread!

Another bottom line rule on this thread we have learned over time: If you find a post really offensive, REPORT IT AND IGNORE IT! The moderators know how to quickly deal with any such situation, and will remove any offensive posts, if they are actually offensive. Arguing or making demands regarding the post, invariably ends up worsening the situation, and can even result in all involved parties getting a warning.

Also, some posts can be too vague and subject to interpretation - so please word your posts very clearly to avoid any misunderstandings, especially if they are critical in nature.

Commenting on style of play in screenshots:
Due to a recent resurgence of abusive posts, any comments concerning the style of play a member employs should be constructive and friendly - and always aligned with the standards for commenting within this topic and on this Forum. Members have a wide variety of playing styles and of capturing screens - and no subjective (or moral, ethnic, political, religious, cultural, social, sixual, etc.) preferences should be dictated to others as right or wrong on this thread. All members are encouraged to post their screens regardless of their style of play - as long as they stay within the rules of this Forum and thread.

From one of our moderators, DreadLord:
This is not the place to troll, flame, or spam others. You all are here to share ideas, converse, and have a good time. We don't want anyone to spoil the party, so if someone happens to come along with those intentions please use the report button and ignore that person's post (Do not reply to them or acknowledge them). We will then take the appropriate action to cull the situation and remove the problem.

From one of our moderators, Rohugh:
You cannot take assets from another game and use them in Fallout, and that includes other BGS games. What you do on your own computer is up to you but we don't want to hear about it or see it.

Regarding receiving comments or not receiving comments to your post:
Comments are hit or miss on this very fast moving thread. This thread moves so FAST that it is hard for lots of us to comment on peeps' screenies. So many, if not most screenies may appear to go unnoticed, because no comments occur. I am sure many of us have worked hard on something, and it appears to just fly by the pages, because of this very popular thread. Many of us try to take time to comment because it is fun to give others feedback and generally seems appreciated. But often no one does. If you really feel like it always happens that your post is ignored, ask a question about it. Whenever you directly ask about something, it is almost always answered by someone. Or even repost it - and point something out about it that you like or want feedback on.

And the best way to get comments? Positively, constructively/specifically comment on others work too!

Alright! Glad that is out of the way. Have fun and thanks for your contribution to this thread!

(Written by various contributors to this thread.)

Console commands that appear to work:

tm - this will completely remove the HUD and menus and, well, anything GUI related.
tai - this will completely disable the AI of any creature/npc. And imo, is the preferred way to "freeze" any character for a screenshot. Enter tai again to resume (toggle) action.
tfc - to activate the flying camera (toggle flying camera; type tfc again to deactivate it.) Appending a flag argument of "1" (IE: "tfc 1") will freeze EVERYTHING. Projectiles, actors, physics, particle effects, everything. The freecam will still move about though. Also, it seems that any script with a timed element may still run despite its associated ref objects being frozen. This may cause oddities to occur if run during special events.
sucsm x: A UFO cam speed multiplier (shorthand for "setUFOCamSpeedMult" or somesuch). Replace x with a multiplier value.
tcl - removes collision from your character enabling simulated flight or to reach places that were previously unreachable. (toggles collision; type tcl again to deactivate it.)
sgtm x - Changes the Global Time Multiplier, allowing for slow-mo if given a value less than 1. Useful for timing if attempting to set up complicated arranged screenshots. Can be put to values above 1 if you're filming a video and want to do a Yakety Sax sequence.

Help on how to do poses from http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showuser=140510

How to take screenshots:
1. Press the \"PrtScrn\" button. Should be above Insert or Home.
2. You SHOULD see \"Screenshot captured\" (you wont see this if you have \"tm\" on) If you don\'t, the picture was still saved to your clipboard and can be loaded and saved on a program like paint. (By pasting)
3. If you do see it, it should be in ON VISTA: C:\\Users\\Your Computer User Name\\Documents\\My Games\\Fallout3
ON XP: they should be stored in your Fallout install directory (/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout3).

Animations:
The Groovatron, a mod requiring FOSE has come out, which provides means to start and stop a wide variety of anims in an easy-to-use interface.

Thanks. Yes, that character is a Raider so she hangs out there quite often. All of her friends ran off to attack some random animals who decided to attack so I thought it would be a good time to snap a pic.

Well, you see, it was 3am and there were only about 5 others online, all of who usually hang out in the GECK forum, so I thought why not?
The original bright pink text had to go, it was burning holes in my eyes looking at it. It's now orange, as I heard orange looks good with this skin :hehe:

Wait, what are you doing here? I read Nexus was upgrading their forums, too. Naturally I thought of you :lmao:

Victoria looks good! The blue girl I had one of those. I should have an old image somewhere. I never had hand issues, just wrinkly face issues  I saved her at the vault exit, transplanted a face over and loaded her up to find she'd aged about 50 years. I can't remember how I fixed it, though.

Anyway. Nothing new from me yet.

Um wow...this is different. The forums had hardly changed since 2002, so this was a bit of a shock to come return to.
So Yeah...I haven't posted since January...I blame Mass Effect 2 and World of Warcraft.

But ANYways, here's some screens of Akema. A few new ones, glamor shots mostly.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/10584-1268778493.jpg

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/10584-1268778569.jpg

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/10584-1268778759.jpg

Also a tribute image with Akema's background story; I am thinking of finally retiring her and starting another character. Enjoy!

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/10584-1268778365.jpg

Money and brute force; the only things that anyone in the wasteland respects. Unfortunately for Akema as a young child she had none of these.

Being spared the worst of mutations that an individual could have been born with, she was born with a peculiar set of red eyes; eyes that closely resembled those of a ghoul. Her eyes frequently made her a target for prejudice in the small village that she lived in. Her parents had died soon after she was born, leaving her an orphan in the care of the village families. Her childhood was difficult, like most children growing up in the wasteland, but relatively uneventful.

That was, until her foster mother returned to their home in a drunken rage. Convinced that Akema was a ghoul, her step-mother grabbed a knife and carved out Akema's right eye to see if it grew back. By her step-mother's drunken reasoning, if it grew back, Akema was a ghoul and did not deserve to live.

Akema never forgave her step-mother for her injury, and since then has worn a patch over her right eye. When Akema was fourteen, she ran away from her home and set out on her own; but not before putting a bullet in her step-mother's brain. Akema eventually came into contact with a group of mercenaries who wandered across the wasteland, going from settlement to settlement and offering their services. They accepted her as one of their own and trained her in their deadly skills. It was from her surrogate family of comrades that she first felt welcome in spite of her appearance, and where she gained the nickname, "Ghoul Eye."

Eight years later at the age of 22, Akema set off on her own to earn a name for herself, selling her deadly skills as a mercenary to any willing to pay.

Nice to see this thread still kicking! Great screens everyone!

Here is my newest character, after taking a short break from FO3. Her name is Laenaya :)

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/dQgKDRap9QkKN3m98CgpDw?feat=directlink

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/NBwvVObjGe32XSGL_P2G-A?feat=directlink

Any feedback? She has three outfits, the two I showed in the screenshot for regular outdoor stuff. The third is too revealing for the forums :P Its only for when she is in her megaton home

You'll probably be seeing more of her :)

I'm relatively new with using mods, but I seem to be getting the hang of it. (Basically cause FOMM and FOSE makes it nearly idiot proof and our community rocks!) I'm curious what mods are commonly used for your exteriors, costumes etc? Also I'm curious about what type of vanity mods are used for your screenshots? I've fiddled around with a posing mod, but I'm curious as to how everyone is getting these great "action" shots...
