Must be the time of the year-> chris can't decide what hairstyle to go for lol. New http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f119/Geonox_2/beanie.jpg

I might be releasing a new hair pack in a few weeks. Right now they fit my custom head which doesn't fit vanilla hair so i need to convert them so they fit the vanilla mesh :)! I also plan on releasing an extra guide next to the guide by Josef Grey and Throttlekitty is on fallout3nexus which will go into alpha mapping/layers and colorable and non colorable parts for hair creating etc.

I have to say Geonix, I really enjoy the pictures of your character  You have done an excellent job with him, as well as the hair styles that you create for him. Please keep up the excellent job and keep posting pictures of him :)

lol well i don't mind or anything but there are 2 problems with making him into a companion. A. I have nooo idea how to do that lol [im a modeller/texturer I try to avoid working with the geck ;)]. and B. is about the part which we are not allowed to discuss here so just take my word for it that there are 2 reasons lol ;), I redid the textures so they are mine but I can't release the head mesh :( :violin: so i haven't made my character ingame its just a new model. I couldn't make my character looklike this with the race menu only lol

ahw who cares ;) It's just an image I could as well post a screenshot from resident evil here. Some people said it before in this thread..cant remember if it was you or not:(? I've had a conversation with Rohugh some time ago about this as well and as long as I don't release it it's fine. So I guess it won't be a problem...releasing it is not allowed here and besides that I love the unique look too much to release it to the public anways ;) The only thing from resident evil is the mesh, I redid the face texture. We shouldn't make such a big deal out of it. I could have as well modelled the head myself, but doing it this way it saves me a lot of time. I can make the same head from scratch, release it and you wont even tell the difference...then I guess I rather not post any screenshots anymore if that's what's going to make it legal to post screenshots here :(?

Heh, I didn't know 'till recently too. Found it by accident, actually. I used it to set 3rd person cam to be overhead Oblivion style, so I don't have a giant blind spot on the left side anymore. Shooting plasma guns in 1st person just doesn't work, the tendril flares get in the line of sight.

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/5899/88023497.jpg when I started a new character <_<
It was there all along, I just never noticed. I don't read once-off pop-ups like that. I don't like pop-ups so rush for the OK button without even looking at what it said.

Speaking of new characters, I 'ported this one over from Oblivion. You know, using Facegen Exchanger on the savegames. She transferred extremely pale and a little flat faced, but nothing the gene projection thingy couldn't fix.
Then I had a problem with naming, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=19094.

http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2466/89742476.jpg

Due to a mod, I guess, she won't suffer from the Level 4 problem as she started at level 8.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6239, now. I just change the race and gender then transfer a face over. The boring part of the MQ has already been 'finished.' There is one issue with that save that I've mentioned in the comments but other than that, I wouldn't start the game any other way :P

Ahh, Rohugh's okay with it...

I was working off a previous precedent when the issue was rampant, and I voiced concerns over it and was curtly dismissed... only to watch the mods sweep in and heavily cull the number of posts in the current pic topic at the time. No banhammer wielding, just heavy use of the post scythe.

How did you get it to work? I tried to transfer a face over and it got completely mutilated in the transfer.

My Fallout save was Caucasian and my Oblivion save was Breton. They are somewhat more similar so I guess it copied over a little better than a Dark (or Mystic) Elf. My Mystic Elves never worked. I could never get Sable over, unfortunately.
Looking through my old saves and the original Oblivion save was actually a Breton vampire (Rana, my final character) No wonder she transferred over so pale with dark circles under her eyes. It would've been the vanilla vampire as I always had issues with those mods that prevented the face changing so drastically.

There wasn't anything different I did from usual. Select an input file - go through all my old backups and pick one - select output file and hit transfer. Load the game and see how it turned out. It's never an exact copy over, some editing is involved to bring the face out of it's 'fish face' shape (no chin, goggle eyes, tiny mouth, small lips, overly large or small forehead, etc). Lighten or darken the skin tone. If we had as many face editing options as we did in Oblivion it may be easier to re-create old characters and have them copy over a bit better. For example, the mouth settings...we need more options like Happy/Sad, Protude/whatever the opposite was, more than two would be helpful.

Sometimes a face copies over that isn't so hideous and that can be fixed. It may not look like it did in Oblivion, it may have some resemblence but it's never perfect. Sometimes you end up with a completely new unique character. Like Harmony :hehe:
I think I'll keep her, she turned out alright, IMO.

Yeah he send me a message saying that it's not allowed to release it here as well but screenshots are fine. But i wasn't planning on releasing it anyways. I hope they don't take away my screenshots anyways :(!!!

Uhm it's actually realy easy! I did it in blender, there's this tutorial on how to make clothes for Fo3 on tesnexus. I just imported the headhuman.nif with bones and everything. Then I imported my new head mesh as an obj copied the boneweight of the nif and assigned it to the bones and exported it. I also conformulated it but it doesn't realy work that well i guess. The sliders work ingame but the mesh doesn't realy changes that much so I still have to take a closer look at the slider settings. But then again, i like the head the way it is right now, I kind of changed the original mesh [cheekbones and jawline] and i like the way it looks. But you can actually do this with any object, I did some test first on a white sphere. It looks realy weird but it works ;) It might sound complex and the length of the tutorials kinda scared me at first but it's actually peice of cake ....

Hmm ... guys & gals I need your specific knowledge ... is it possible to make Lings Coiffure work with an FWE-MMM-PB setup by replacing all references to the PB esm with the Lings esm?

This is the only place I could think of that would know that kind of stuff ...

.. I want my last FO3 char to look good. :D

@Soor: I don't use Lings or the most current PB, but assume things could be edited in FO3Edit. Loading up just those four (plus Fallout.esm) and edit the conflicting entries maybe changing the edits and saving them into a new esp.
Kristoffer once replied to one of my posts asking how to fix or change a mod (I think it was the last Pictures thread). I just puddle around in FO3Edit so I'm probably not the best person to advise on exactly what to do because I make it up as I go along
But, in FO3Edit you should be able to make a patch for them all to work together.

That reminds me of a question for MadCat, but I'll ask on his mod page instead :)

Or listening. Though, yes, watching would be worse

No fancy Photshopping today. Straight from the screenshot folder.
http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/9974/82877805.jpg Doesn't quite have the same ring to it :P
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/2841/88566751.jpg. Although I crashed after going into Dukov's, so we http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/4646/31984985.jpg.

http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/4411/25917646.jpg. They soon gave up as he was not very social. I must fix that.

I'm sure Clio is suffering from savegame bloat. We don't really have a utility to fix that, do we? I can't play her for very long anymore without stuttering, the odd slideshow and worst case, CTD/full screen lock up. I guess I can trim my load order down
I've a small utility/mod to help with full screen lockups (made by Phoshi) so that's not a problem. Preventing them from happening in the first place would be better. I don't want to start her again

I was testing out a new mod that I am working on and got drawn into the way the water was falling, so I took a bunch of pictures to see what effects I could catch. I was having fun, but these 2 caught my eye the most, and since I am always admiring everyone's pictures in here, I will post these. Nothing special edited with them, and it certainly wasn't a planed shot.

Some pics of my final Fallout 3 Run Through before New Vegas hits:

Funny thing about that last pic: I just wrapped up the GNR quest, and despite having the Extended Track Mod that adds a hundred new songs, GNR started playing "Let's Go Sunnin".

EDIT: And of course, two old favorites of mine from my main character...
