sorry this isn't a character picture but it was just too funny that I had to post it some place. OK so OOO of MMM adds a HUGE slaughterfish to the game. Well as I was walking out of a building which is west of Weye close to fort Nikel I notice in the fog a slaughterfish flopping around and thought it was a small one. Turns out it was the big guy flopping down the hill. The thing is bigger the Wawnet Inn. Here is a picture I was able to get when I finally caught up to him because he got stuck. Yeah it will. I haven't fought it yet because I don't know if it will respawn or not and it's that cool. There is one time that it attacked me and I was able to get it to jump out of the water. It would of made a cool shot if I was quick enough. Another time I was able to get it to break the surface of the water and swim after me with it's fins out of the water like a shark.

EDIT: There's at least one other big fish out there, I suspect due to OOO but I'm not sure. There's a door to an undersea cavern I think deep down in Nibon Bay (I forget exactly where). It's nowhere near as large as the one in Lake Rumare, but I found it tougher to deal with because it attacks from above in a very dark and vast cavern (so it's hard to run away.) http://www.rashid-clark.com/rpg_chars/Oblivion/bigfish2.jpg

That giant slaughterfish is in vanilla Oblivion. On the way from Bravil Castle to Fathis Aren's tower in the TG quest for the arrow of extrication, if you go all the way down the pit there's one in a cave at the bottom. It's also possible to enter that cave through a trapdoor at the bottom of the bay.

Cool, thanks Ghastley. I was wondering what quest linked to that place. So it sounds like if the quest is followed properly (IE: Enter through the front rather than the undersea door), then the fish doesn't have the overhead advantage.

it's not part of a quest. It's an easter egg in the game. Just like how there is a huge mud crab in the game inside of a cave too.
