Pictures of Oblivion Characters

She looks a lot like Rachel Weisz... is that by accident or design? ;)

Thanks, I had to look Rachel Weisz up on the internet after reading this...so I guess the answer is 'by accident'. ;)

By the way I want to thank you so much for your wonderful neck concealer. I have integrated it into my character's backstory. It was given to her by her father, who later disappeared in Cyrodiil under mysterious circumstances. She is in Cyrodiil to search for him but lately she's gotten distracted by this Daedric invasion business...

What a remarkably beautiful and characterful face. May I ask what race she is? She is so soulful looking.

Thank you! Coming from the creator of Elm and Asvana, those words are high praise indeed! Sajin is a Sona race, but after adding new eyes, new ears, new hairs, a new set of racial bonuses, a new face texture and new stats there's actually not much of throttlekitty's mod left. I'm thinking of just changing the name altogether so as not to tarnish his reputation.

Pseron Wyrd - Lovely http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzVwUOSMpco&feature=related on your character, "Sajin", my favorite color for http://i26.tinypic.com/6gvate.jpg (although I've been recently using grey eyes on the more gothy characters). Thanks for sharing screenies of, Sajin, glad you're playing again hope to see more of her.

Thanks Sunsi and it's great to see you back! The irony is that I must've added 20 new eyes to the darn thing and I ended up picking Bethesda's brown eye anyway. *facepalm*

The problem I have with screenshots is that I forget to take them when I'm playing. So far all of my screenshots are just of my character standing around in Inns, long after all the interesting stuff has happened, lol. I also haven't installed any pose mods yet so my screenshots tend to be embarrassingly bland compared to the wonderful work everyone else has done with theirs.

Here's two new ones though. So far Sajin has delivered the Amulet and joined the Fighters Guild. She spent her first night in an actual bed after joining the Fighters Guild. She was not pleased by what she discovered in the morning.

By the way, I like your new avatar. Now that you're not using your old angel avatar anymore I think I'll steal it for myself. :D

That's a very dramatic shot. Great work.

I really like this character and I don't usually care much for Demon-esque characters but I really like this one. I think a lot of it has to do with all that luxuriant hair, and that great flower in her hair. It's about the last thing I would ever expect to see on a character like that and I think that's what intrigues me. I enjoy creating characters that seem to go against type and, for me, this is a great example of that.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm rather fond of the Seaview reward armor and horse. They are a vast improvement over the visually horrid mismatch worn throughout the bulk of my earlier Cyrodillian adventures. Along with the companionship of Neeshka they were what spurred me to finally start taking screenshots of my exploits. Looking back I wish I'd begun far sooner. So much went undocumented.

The problem I have with screenshots is that I forget to take them when I'm playing. I like Sajin and those captures! Oddly, several days ago I almost captured a scene very similar to your first. My avatar went to fetch Neeshka from her Verona Manor guest room to find her sleeping au naturel. It was a very "photogenic" opportunity, but I let it pass fearing that the results would be unpostable here. You handled it well. Should the situation rise again, I will not be so squeamish.

I too forget to capture images in the heat of battle. I thought about loading some of my early saves for sole purpose of capturing scenes of past glory, but find that mods added after-the-fact make this impossible (or at least highly impractical).

Thanks to Esanthus and Terra Nova for the kind words. Much appreciated. :)

Pseron, those pictures of Sajin and her regal glare just fill me with happiness. :D I'll be downloading that race as soon as I can.

elizb, it always svcks when you lose a character you've grown fond of, but it looks like you have a good start ahead of you with this one. She's lovely.

Okay, piccies.

Neeshka and I begin a new adventure, journeying north in search of the Sword of Wrath. We stop at a small cabin east of Bruma where I perform the long postponed duty of http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/HireAlchemist.jpg manor. Continuing east, we eventually arrive at http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/MothTemple_1.jpg.

Our priory informant sends us to Dive Rock, where we obtain the name and location of yet another contact. Worn out from a day in the mountains, http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/CheydinhalStopover.jpg and opt to spend what remains of the night in http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/CheydinhalFightersGuild_1.jpg early dawn.

Only minutes outside Cheydinhal we are assaulted by bandits, who discover that http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/CheyRoadBandit_1.jpg. We are http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/CheyRoadBandit_2.jpg, in thise case in sight of the Imperial City.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/BravilRose_1.jpg, a right saucy wench with a colorful nom de guerre.

Enroute to the Imperial City Temple District to procure certain legal documents. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/IC_ArcUni_1.jpg.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/ColdcornGrave.jpg to convince a reclusive lady to cease mourning and rejoin society.

I must say, I really like how under that grandiose armor, your knight looks so realistically like a plain, old man. Not all adventurers have to be handsome hunks or bombshell babes. B)

Heh, I hope that skull isn't a part of your picnic. :D

Also, I have a slight problem: I just installed the Screenshooter's Illumination mod. Works okay, the gems appear in my inventory and can be equipped just fine, but there's a slight downside; they don't shed any light. None. They just glisten in the dark, like glisteny-but-not-light-shedding things. Tried moving the mod to the very last spot in my load order, but no cigar.
What gives?

Silver Drake, you need to drop the gems for them to shed light. You can "tcl", and they'll "float" where they land, or you can z-grab them and plop them on a nearby surface. :)

The skull might have been part of her feast.. she is a Bosmer after all. :D

Yeah, dropping them was actually the first thing I did, forgot to mention that. I think it just took a while for the illumination effect to kick in, and I was a little too hasty in picking them back up. Tried again and they work now.

Oh yeah, I forgot that... She sure picked it clean, though. :P

First time up, I present Ylonda Ravena, child of the union between an Imperial merchant and his Redguard 'bodyguard'.

Okay, this is freaky, I just turned off the game to see to my new screenies and browse the forums a bit, and guess which dungeon I just plundered? Yup, Smokehole Cave. Damn small world. :P

Really stylish looking character too, I like the jacket thingy and the pauldron on the left shoulder. And you will tell me THIS INSTANT which mod that sword is from, so I can go get it too, it looks bloody sweet.

But now continue the adventures of Zoreya!

Arriving at the Knights of the Thorn Lodge outside Cheydinhal to find http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/RobertoMob_2.jpg not quite what we expected.

Determined to make the best of a ticklish situation http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/CheydinhalMageGuildhall_1.jpg and learn of a potion of transformation, then wait for clear skies before returning to Verona House.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/VeronaNeeshkaWake_1.jpg for an early morning departure.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/Neeshka_DasekMoor.jpg, where one potion ingredient is found.

Sans Neeshka I scour Sea Tub Clarabella for a second ingredient. It proves to be in neither the captain's http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/SeaTubTreasure1.jpg nor http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/SeaTubTreasure3.jpg area, but rather the ship's cargo hold far below.

Having spent the night in Benirus Manor we http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/FloatingBowl_1.jpg and http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/Leaving_Anvil.jpg.

Nice shots bg!
Not something you usually see :goodjob:
Many thanks :). It was always my opinion that Oblivion need more Xivilais and other rare visitors :D.

bg2408 - bg, some characters leave a lasting impression and yours certainly does she has personality and is very interesting it's not easy to develope those qualities. I enjoy your character screenies so much, thanks.
Many, many thanks :). Glad that people like my screenies :twirl: !

After re thinking Ri 'Shur I picked to send him down the path of a mage.
Mages need robes and wizard hats, with "Wizzard" written on them :hubbahubba: .

I really like this character and I don't usually care much for Demon-esque characters but I really like this one. I think a lot of it has to do with all that luxuriant hair, and that great flower in her hair. Many thanks, glad that you like her! Playing with character tropes and going against them is great fun - I mean, just remember Planescape Torment, with it's very interesting characters.

As for Oblivion, I don't know. The really daedra-esque or demon-esque characters are pretty rare. Now and then there's a "normal human with horns" or a "normal human with wings", but more exotic races - like the playable Xivilai, or the red Demon race, I haven't seen them that often that I would risk getting bored of them.

*must resist making jokes about Green Pact and skull in picture at breakfast site*

An extremely cute character. Confess it, she's just so cute to confuse everyone in Cyrodiil, right :D?

______________________________

Oh, and just because I managed to kill nearly all of my savegames yesterday, here's a list of all of my playing characters (well, first two are missing). All except three of them now only live on as NPCs in my mod "Integration - The Stranded Light", but not as player characters anymore. What follows is a slightly edited post I wrote somewhere else some time ago:
The ancients
Those characters were played from 2006 to summer 2007. Most of them were on my old PC, without HDR or even high texture details. Character #1 and #2 were lost.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar3Dunmer1.jpg
Integration name: Ranis Avani
Notable experiences: This was probably the first character I really played Oblivion with. I had to write a walkthrough, so character #1 was just that. And character #2 was retired very quickly due to me being unhappy about various things. Walking through the rain to Leyawiin, over a bridge, without haste, that's an image I can't get out of my head.
Started playing at: 25. April 2006
Retired due to: Savegame corruption.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar4Altmer3.jpg
Integration name: Natheile of Alinor
Notable experiences: With her I finally finished the Mages Guild, and let's just say I was underwhelmed. Aside from that I don't recall much, except testing mods. Well, it was the last character I played without OOO, and the first I played with a hunger and sleep mod.

Integration name: Shenara Hleras (note however that the Integration appearance was made older)
Notable experiences: First character with which I played OOO, and that was an experience by itself. Additionally the character I switched PCs with - that's why you can notice HDR there ;). I also recall (now having HDR and distant land for the first time) walking the "Mora path", which is the only area in Vanilla that can compete with the Unique Landscapes. Fantastic!

Integration name: Karrizy
Notable experiences: Shivering Isles. Was also the first Khajiit I ever played, mostly influenced by "Tsavi", who is just totally cute. Oh and of course "The Ultimate Heist", one of the most thrilling quests in Vanilla!

Notable experiences: The first and last character I played the Dark Brotherhood with. And the last character before I switched to FCOM.

The "regulars"
After long resisting adding any bonus races to RBP, I finally gave in and added some. Interestingly since then I've played only two Vanilla races. Smells like hypocrisy, I know. Additionally not only RBP changed greatly, but I also added FCOM to my game.

Integration name: Yaranil
Notable experiences: Dieing. Often. FCOM was like OOO on steroids. Finally Oblivion was a challenge again!
Started playing at: 31. May 2007
Retired due to: Had to test the next race for RBP.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar10Aureal1.jpg
Integration name: Nareyla
Notable experiences: Playing a mage with a race without any magical talents was quite a challenge, but a fun one. Was the only character for which "self shadows" ever looked good.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar11Xivilai1.jpg
Integration name: Firstande
Notable experiences: Oh. My first Xivilai. It was strange, but in a good way. Also while LAME was in my load order for a year now, I finally decided to go public, and therefore made a lot of tests. The mayhem I caused in Skingrad is worthy of legends. Unfortunately a nasty savegame corruption caused by another mod forced me to abandon her.

Integration name: Ulasza
Notable experiences: After Xivilai I had to be abandoned, I immediately created her. Not only did I finished large parts of the game, but I also visited Nascosto Isles for the first time, which is (or was, they have imho changed for the worse in the version 3 update) an experience for itself. A very great holiday atmosphere.
Started playing at: 1. Sep. 2007
Retired due to: Same problem as described for the next character.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar13Ohmesraht1.jpg
Integration name: Kiyana
Notable experiences: Not only my first Ohmes-raht ever created, but also the first character I visited the Unique Landscapes - Colovian Highlands with, which are breathtaking. Sadly she died much too yound on savegame corruption (a major FCOM update gone awry [I jumped several version numbers]. While the character was playable after a clean save, the loss was just too great to continue).

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar14Xivilai3.jpg
Integration name: Beramkne
Notable experiences: After I lost not one, but two Xivilais and my Ohmes-raht, I tried to create a Xivilai with a twist, which is "being blue". Didn't quite work out like I thought. Additionally she's linked to RL troubled I had back then, and was therefore quickly abandoned.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar15Nord1.jpg
Integration name: Chandra the Bloodthirsty (LAME secret spell merchant)
Notable experiences: Not so much by her, but by other players I've annoyed with screenshots. No one ever believed me that she was a Nord. I think I put her into LAME just to prove them wrong.
Started playing at: 14. Nov. 2007
Retired due to: Can't recall, sorry.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar16Ohmesraht2.jpg
Integration name: [not present, no savegame existed anymore]
Notable experiences: Making videos for LAME. Lame, I know. But it's true! The character mostly appearing in the first three LAME trailers is her.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar17Aureal2.jpg
Integration name: Tesserayiel
Notable experiences: A double edged sword. On the one hand she was the character who experienced the breakdown of my old GPU first. On the other hand she's one of the three characters I played the longest, and had the most adventures with. The last trips to Nascosto Isles, last time I finished the Mages Guild, and also one of the last times in which I put regularly new mods into my Oblivion. In my opinion she's one of the most beautiful characters I've ever created.

Notable experiences: Very similar to the character above. Also one of the three character I played the longest. I played a lot of her "just for fun", and discovered quite some interesting places in Vanilla.

Under the shadow of Integration
The following characters fall into an interesting time period: First, my GPU died and I had to live with a bad replacement card for several months. The next card I got was broken, too. Only at the end of the year I got a working one again. Second, Integration's development was started, and a lot of the characters were therefore mostly involved in testing Integration, than with actually playing the rest of Oblivion, or putting new mods into my game.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar20Ohmesraht3.jpg
Integration name: Revendri
Notable experiences: The character I played the longest, in both actual playing time and months. She's the only character that survived all GPU changes. Beside Integration she also went through the Lost Spires, which unfortunately left it's mark on the savegame. If this hadn't have happened, I guess she would still be an active char.

Integration name: Jo'beala
Notable experiences: First character since "Revendri's" untimely end I really played, and was strictly an Integration test character. My estimation regarding playing time are mostly based on her.

http://www.tikanderoga.net/bg2408/pics/tes/tesaChar26Seducer1.jpg

Notable experiences: My "Daedra Seducer" test character, was quite a lot of fun to test. Though as she gained a major role in Integration, I decided to start another.
