Imperial legion investigator Doctus Gideon's report: The Butcher.
Little is known about this foe and until recently the legion thought him to be nothing more than a myth. But the uncovering of a mass grave in the nibenay and a few reports have maybe made this monster far too real. The uncovering of the grave has yielded 75 bodies 33 of which have been identified off the legions missing persons list. The bodies appear to have been chopped up by a large blade of sorts( type of blade is yet unknown ). People around the area have been interviewed with minimal success, mostly speaking of hear say. With the exception of Cantus Myron a local hunter to have claimed to actually have seen the butcher. He claims the man to be of larger stature, pale white skin and lifeless eyes. He is described as wearing stitched leather possibly an apron and uniquely designed helmet. Cantus claim to have observed the man on one of his special hunting trips in which he was hired to hunt down some trolls for a local alchemist. He said as he happened upon a hot bed of trolls from afar he was readying his bow when the large man came storming through the trees right into the middle of the trolls territory, carrying two large moist sacks over his shoulders. The trolls did nothing he claims, cowering away from him like scared puppies. He was dumbfounded he said. And then it happened he said, "the man stopped dead center and looked directly at me" as if letting me know that he knew I was there. "I couldn't move". The man then continued on his way Cantus claimed. Cantus is described as a fearless man hunting area's and creatures other won't and keeps to himself in his house far into the woods. Since his alleged incident he has become a hermit, buying a house inside Bravils walls. Cantus marked the location of the incident on my map, it is a small area not too far from the mass grave. High officials seem reluctant to grant me any support or funds to further investigate, but why? Reports are coming in about leyawin residents going missing. Will further investigate.
