I quickly got onto this "Big Barry", I ignored Harley, I don't know why, I was just so lazy I guess. I jumped in pretty much right below Edward and I chuckled, "Last name? Sorry, I, well, don't worry, it's not important, anyway, how do you think you ended up here?" I said, quickly but suddenly I shook my head. I put my hand down to a small built in compartment on my armor, I pulled out a bottle of pills, I quickly downed two of the pills and washed it down with some dirty water. I took a quick breath and shook my head again, I looked up apologetically at Edward.

I took a breath, "Sorry, I have some... Problems, sometimes, although it does come in handy occasionally... Well mostly, it just leads me to ripping people apart, guess that's how..." I stopped then shook my head, "Sorry, I tend to ramble, sorry about that, really. So, tell me, why do you think your here? You must be pretty important to get second in command!"

Edward

"Yeah, I noticed you going on a bit, but thats fine, my brother does it too. I probably ended up here and Second in Command because of my leadership. I usually am pretty good at co-ordinating the guys, so being a sniper helps. And, I'm pretty useful in a fight. From a 100 meters away, my accuracy is probably around 90%. What about you? What are you best at? In scouting and other things." Edward responded to Andy. He yelled out a half hearted greeting to Harley and got himself comfortable. He realized that it would be pretty easy to get flung off the roof if there was rough terrain, so he eyed up a set of spare seats that was sitting of to the side of the tunnel. James was still busy checking out the engine, so he figured he had enough time.

"Andy, come give me a hand please?" he yelled back.

Andy and Edward lifted the seats up to the roof of the cab and bolted them down, before welding it in place for extra strength. Then they saw a spotlight also sitting to the side, and did the same in front of the seats. This way Edward could use it to spot enemies in the dark and assist James with driving.

"Andy, do you want to sit up here with me? I could use some company, and you seem nice enough." he asked.

I chuckled, "Sure Ed, oh sorry, I just..." I stopped and looked at him, then burst out laughing, "Sorry, Edward's kinda too long, anyway, answering your two questions... My speciality is well... I love advanced technology, I only ever use Plasma weapons really, I've found a lot of tech in my travels, including this T51-B Power Armor. And to answer your other question, sure I'll stick with you up here," I muttered to him, keeping quiet but fast, just like I normally was.

I chuckled, "So, anything you want to know about me? You seem nice enough so I guess I'll stick with you, since your a sniper, I can be your spotter of you want, I'm good at seeing things from a massive sight. As well as that if anything gets to close I can easily just fill it full of plasma, I'd like that propsect actually... What do you think about that? I like it, haha, I always like my own ideas though. Sorry, I'm rambling again, just hit me if I start doing that..."

Edward

Edward laughed at his suggestion of hitting him and grinned.

"I don't think James would like the idea of me hitting you that much. But sure, I'd love a spotter, and if someone is around to watch my back while I'm sniping I can concentrate all the more. I think you and I are going to get along famously. Here, take these binoculars, just in case. I don't need them anyway, I have my sniper. So, where did you serve before here Andy? And how did you go there?" Edward asked with interest. Just then he saw some Brotherhood members shut the trucks back panel and James got into the front, starting up the engine.

"Finally we're getting out of here. You watch the right, I'll watch the left." he told Andy, and they continued talking as they drove North through the city, laughing and getting to know each other better.

I was really starting to enjoy Edward's company, he seemed like a good enough person, along pretty much the whole trip we manged to keep our eyes out for any hostiles and talk casually like friends. I was really starting to enjoy this, as I'd hardly ever had a friend as much in the Brotherhood, suddenly my eyes snapped open and I laughed. I looked at Edward and grinned, "Hey, sorry, I think I missed one of your questions way back, you wanted to know where I served right? Well... I'm gonna tell you a story."

He looked at me inqusitively and I let my face fall, he saw what I really looked like most of the time, "About... Well, a couple of years ago, I always try to forgot this so sorry if I lose my head, do what I told you and HIT me, trust me. Ok, well a couple of years ago, my squad and I broke into a facility, I was a Paladin back then, I got demoted after that mission, because of what happened... Because I was a liability. We infilitrated the facility right? Turned out to be a testing facility on some pretty heavy duty meds."

"We got captured and guess what? My whole squad got killed, I was the lone survivor and I got tested on with some pretty bad stuff, terrible enough as that was, I eventually got sprung and... Well, here I am, I've spent most of my time in with all different types of doctor's, none can cure me. I got something when I was down there, all the meds changed me... I got addicted to most of the stuff, I've gotten off most of it, except for this stuff, I only have a limited supply of it you see."

"It's some super drug, makes you... Well, it makes you into a Super Human I guess you'd say, it's pretty addictive, when I left the place we had about... a couple of hundred crates of the stuff, now I'm down to my last bottle. When I run out... Well, I don't know, I guess I'll see what happens, anyway, enough about me, what do you think about that?" I said, taking a breath, I hadn't told anyone else this except for the Doctor's, which was surprising.

Edward

"Man, that just doesn't seem healthy, but I know where your coming from. Before I joined the Brotherhood, I was addicted to Jet. It was tearing my body apart, from the amount I was taking, but I refused to stop. It took my Brother tackling me and beating some sense into me to get me over it. We couldn't afford meds to help me back then, you see, so we had to watch out for each other. My body never really recovered. If I ever take it again I'll most likely die, because my body just rejects it now. I know you'll be able to beat it when the time comes, what you have to fear is the withdrawals. They are scary things. And your body? Lets just say you're definitely going to need a Doc on site when it happens. Tell me when you're ready to give 'em up, and I'll help you through it." Edward said with a sigh, as he remembered how bad those days were. Andy would definitely need his help when the time came. Just then he saw some movements in a burned out building to the side of them.

"Hold up!" he yelled to James, who stopped Big Barry. He looked through his scope into the building and spotted a few dozen mutants in the building.

" Mutants! Lots of 'em. Get to your stations and prep for combat!" he yelled to the others.

"Andy, you ready to start your job as a spotter?" he asked.

James stared at the modified sniper seat. Good addition. He hopped into the cab, typed in the ignition code, M713 ( Michael 7:13). About 5 minutes into the journey, a sharp cry broke from Ed. Stopping the APC, James leaned out of the cab's window, not an easy feat. 'What?' he shouted.
'Mutants!' replied Andy.
'Open fire with that Vulcan (minigun) on the partition, behind you. Get them to come to us!'
The Vulcan's roar ripped the air as thousands of HE shells flew into the building, blowing chunks brom the stonework.
'Here they come!' yelled Rice.

(Before Leaving)

Harley looked over the big truck, very interesting. He saw something a bit like this vehicle crawling along the horizon once when he was out in the barren wasteland. Harley thought about the vehicle for a while, curious as to why the brotherhood hadn't had heaps of them made for transport.

He jumped into the back of the truck once it was fired up. The back of the machine was armored, it would really svck for anyone inside if a bullet or two got in here and ricochet around, it would rip everyone apart. He sat in the back and fed a belt into his machine gun, before he knew it, they were cruising through the wasteland on an old ruined road.

Harley started thinking whether or not they would find a suitable base for the BoS, and wondered if it would be better than their current Citadel. Doubtful. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the guy sitting on the roof of the truck, yelling about a mutant infested building. The truck skidded to a halt.

Harley jumped onto the minigun attached to the truck and opened her up on the building, the bullets literally ripping bits off the concrete structure.

John looked at the vehicle in awe, having never seen one in working condition before. He got on the back just as the truck drove off. As he was getting settled in the middle of the vehicle, John heard the guy on the top turret yell that Super Mutants were attacking. John said, "It can never be easy can it.", and put his Sniper Rifle through a firing port and started firing at the Super Mutants.

I looked at Ed and grinned, it felt like he was an old friend, "Thanks," then out of nowhere Ed said, "Mutants! Lots of 'em. Get to your stations and prep for combat! Andy, you ready to start your job as a spotter?" I grinned,
"Of course, but if you want me to stay alive back here you better start shooting!" I then quickly grinned again. I looked into the binoculars towards the building, I raised my hand, "Theirs about ten on the top level, a dozen on the bottom, start shooting and I'll cover your back!"

I quickly grimaced and brought down the binoculars, I let them drop into my lap while I quickly whirled my rifle off my back. I held it at the ready in case of any sneaking Mutants, I started firing absent mindedly at the building to supress the Mutants, just so Ed could get a good shot at them.

Edward

Andy was doing a great job. He would shoot at the cover the mutants were hiding behind and they'd try to run somewhere else, before Edward would nail them in the head with a bullet. His count was at about six when he noticed there was none left. The guys in the truck had taken out a lot and Andy had killed a few with his fire too. He noticed James had an abnormally big kill count and laughed.

"This fight goes to the squad Captain. Next time, you better watch out though!" he yelled out.

They resumed their driving and Edward struck up another conversation with Andy.

John kept on shooting the Super Mutants until they had all been ahniliated. He noticed that James had gotten the most kills. John said audibly, "I wish I had a spotter.", and tried to strike up a conversation with the other snipers in the squad.

After the brief skirmish, James and his team moved on. On the first night, they set up camp. It was just a gas lamp attached to the metal grating on the back. While the men slept in the back, James sat in the front compartment, reading a map. There was a large power station to the North, just past Minefield. The MDPL station was notorious for picking up random radio signals in a foreign language. The large rooms, and massive underground complex would provide an excellent base. But to set up there, the squad had to fight the Enclave Patrols, Super Mutants, Ghouls, and the infamous Radder, a 'super ghoul', or so rumour had it. But there was something further north. A giant structure... a sound behind James made him whirl round, Laser Pistol extended. It was Ed.

Edward

Edward watched as everyone slept and decided he couldn't sleep. He woke Andy up and dragged him around to the side of the truck.

"Hey Andy, something doesn't feel right. I feel like something is watching us. I'm becoming paranoid! Will you come for a walk with me, you know, check things out?" I sighed.

I started as he said the words, I chuckled, "Yeah, sure I guess, I feel the same way, something feels... Wrong, like, well yeah, we're being watched. But, I"m sure it's nothing," I muttered, I shook my head, "God, we're both paranoid, haha, oh well, c'mon, let's go for a walk then," I said, chuckling the whole time. I looked at him quickly, then I bent down and rummaged through my footlocker, I pulled out my rifle and pistol, then quickly placed my armor on. I checked for any faults, then I nodded.

I looked at Ed and grinned, "Alright lad, let's head off now, quickly, I think I need to do something, I should tell you. Ever since I started talking to you... It's like, well, I don't feel like I need that drug, I hope it stays like this. Anyway, let's go," I muttered out, I then looked at him and waited for him to pick somewhere to walk TO. I didn't know where he wanted to go so I stood there, waiting for a second, waiting for him.

Edward

I thanked him and started to lead the way, walking towards some old wasteland style shacks and a burnt out building. We were walking around slowly, having a laugh and enjoying the cool night air, when I felt arms on my legs.

"What are you doing Andy?" I laughed as I tried to turn around. I looked and saw that Andy was a bit away from me, investigating a noise, and wasn't anywhere near me. I was about to yell out to him, when cold, hard hands clamped over my mouth. Soon, there was a gun barrel pointed to my face and something hit me. Hard.

And then I drifted off to unconsciousness...

I heard a small scuffle behind a bush, I turned and went to check it out, I didn't tell Ed and I completely forgot about him for a second. As I turned around I saw a man, standing there, holding Edward. I saw another man pointing a gun at me, I cursed silently and kept an eye on them. I didn't make any moves when all of a sudden the man with the gun yelled and ran at me, he shot wildly and a couple of the shots hit my armor, pinging off. I quickly pulled out my pistol and shot at him.

The first shot hit him in the arm, he yelped in pain as I quickly fired off another cell, it went straight into his face, melting it into goo. As I looked up I saw the other man a bit in the distance, I had a choice, I could either run after him and risk getting ambushed. Or I could return to the others and report this... I quickly thunk it through.

(OOC: Up to you really. I was just doing it for some excitement, not any point to it really...)

James heard gunfire in the distance. Running to the noise, he pulled out his Plasma Rifle, pulling the safety off. James jumped through a bush, and found Ed and Andy fighting a group of Raiders. The Paladin tackled one of the Raiders, and point-blanked another as he went down. Jumping off the floor, he felt a lead pipe strike his head. Fighting the darkness, James smashed the Raider's face with his fist, and shot his legs from below him. He suddenly realised that all the Raiders were gone, and as he did so, his mind let slip. Darkness consumed him.

(OOC- I'm not dead. No shining light. Just KO.)

I looked at James get hit and fall to the ground, that was typical. Ed was unconcious a couple of metres away, my superior was unconcious a couple of metres away from Ed... I chuckled, I quickly ran over to Ed and picked him up, I weighed him on my shoulder then went over to James. I picked him up to when I heard a sound, I cursed and turned, not quick enough. Standing behind me was a man with a lead pipe, he had it raised and he had a grin on his face.

I heard the whistling of the metal as it went through the air, I prepared myself in the split second and I felt the metal come into contact with my skull. I heard a crunch as it impacted and I dropped Ed and James, I fell to the ground a split second after them, I felt everything fade away and I heard a voice, "Do something to em', I don't care what, maybe we should send em' to Paradise Falls? Slavers would like this lot..." Then I saw everything go red... Then black.

John woke up to the sound of gunshots. He looked around and noticed that Ed, Andy, and their leader James were misssing. After waking everyone else up by banging the metal, he went outside by himself, and found the three unconsious and surrounded by Raiders. John noticed that they hadn't seen him yet, so he looked through the scope of his Sniper Rifle at who appeared to be the leader, took aim, and fired.

Harley quickly woke to the noise of John trying to get everyone up. He grabbed his Machine Gun and went to see what was going on. As he went outside, he saw John shoot a raider.

"Hmm, didn't think we'd get a nice sleep tonight" he said under his breath as he noticed there was a big group of raiders. He had a fresh belt in his Machine Gun and it was ready to go.

Harley unfolded the bipod legs, rested the gun on a huge chunk of concrete, using it as cover and opened fire on the group of raiders.

John saw the Raider he shot at go down, half of his head destroyed by John's shot. At the same time, he could see that the others had woken up and had follwed him. John noticed Harley set up his machine gun and start shooting at the Raiders, killing several. John decided to use the distraction that Harley was creating to snipe even more Raiders while saying, "We have to get those three out of harm's way, now!"

Harley kept firing at the raiders and said back to John "One or two of the others could run out and drag them back, while I keep this wall of bullets flying and you pick off raiders"

"Oh crap!" Harley had used the hundred round belt already. He yelled for one of the other team members to get another box from his pack and throw it to him. Shortly after he was feeding the fresh belt into the gun and started firing at the raiders. There were more than he thought. He cut them down only to find more behind them.

"Ahhh Bastards!" he yelled over the sound of his machine gun, the bullets flying into the raiders, some even cutting the raiders in half.

"Bloody raiders! Die!" he yelled again, he didn't like raiders "Die freaks!"
