Argh. I don't see it in either the iPad or iPhone stores. I've tried various searches.

Hmm, it's not on the App Store through my iPad. Did you get it from the App Store or through iTunes?

You can't have - it hasn't been released yet. Maybe you downloaded something else.

Wrong version. We were talking about the iOS (Apple) version.

Pacific Time Zone, in Canada.

I see it in both the iPad App Store as well as iTunes App Store.

Apple is very regional. It's likely coming to your region if you aren't seeing it yet.

Then one thing I have to say is that I really wish you didn't have to hold and swipe in order to pan the map smoothly. Flicking moves the map choppily. Wish it functioned like regular iPad scrolling - and that it had a zoom.

I'm mountain time zone and can confirm its on the iOS store, and oh my god I completely agree about the map scrolling. Super unfun to do for a long distance. Screen is gonna be really smudgy now :(

Woo-hoo! :)

Now unnecessary ;) - http://www.falloutsearch.com/img/posted/pip-boy-app-ios.jpg

I got way too excited when I saw the app appear LOL. I was literally refreshing iTunes every 5-10 minutes since the Android version came out :P Then suddenly it was there!

Besides the map scrolling, the one other thing I noticed is that the scroll arrows in the inventory are weird, they feel out of place in the design of the interface. Also, when scrolling in the stats, you can make the stat name and value flash by outside the area it's supposed to be within.

So some minor bugs, details and room for improvement, but looking really great so far.

Yeah, it's basically the same as Missile Command that you could get for the Atari 2600.

sleep modes were likely taken into account. My phone doesn't sleep while watching videos, why would it for this app, particularly since it is going to likely be sending and receiving small packets just through staying linked, aside from real world events (crippled limbs, ammo use, etc.) actively being reflected in the app?

I, like others, plan on having the local map open, so I can look at it at a glance, without bringing a menu up at all.

I wasn't able to get a pip boy (not yet, anyway), but a belt clip phone case and a wrist/watch band means I'll never have to put my controller down. I plan on mounting it somewhat on the inside of my wrist (opposite from a watch face), so I have everything fairly close, without having to change my playa stance.

If I want to get really fancy, I may just make up a rig that let's me mount my phone between my controller handle "horns", like controller keyboards do. Now I just have a really awesome controller, where I don't have to wait for arm raising animations to use my pip boy, because it's always up and in my hands.

Is there a separate thread in the forums talking about the games? Anyway, from the app files, one can see what the other games are:

Spoiler
Atomic Command
Grognak
Pip Fall
Red Menace
Zeta Invaders

And here's bug #1, in case anyone from Bethesda is reading this:

So, I noticed in the Stats menu under Combat it tracks Backstabs. I'm hoping this means more than just an undetected melee sneak attack. I'm hoping Skyrim's delightful throat slash killcam has wandered over to the Fallout world.

OMG - the Sniper one is pretty bad too.

I really hope they change this.

After looping the animation once, turn off sound effect until you switch to another perk. Loop the animation, don't loop the sound. Switching ranks doesn't count, only when you go to an entirely different perk.

I like the overall sounds of the app and don't want to mute everything entirely. It's just that the looping sounds get really annoying really fast, especially when you're trying to concentrate and read and understand the text of the different ranks.

Works damn well, quite pleased with it. Hope the weapon icons will be in by the time we are playing though
