Pip-Boy App Setting Won't Stay Turned ON

Trying to get the Pip-Boy app connected to the game, but not having much luck.

After about an hour of fumbling around yesterday, I give up. Following the instructions on how to set up the Pip-Boy app to connect to the game, I go into the Options menu, turn ON the Pip-Boy app setting, and restart the game. But everytime I start the game, go into the Options to make sure it's on, it's been turned back Off. Tried both the in-game options menu (after loading a save) and from the title screen options menu, but it didn't seem to make any difference.

Checked my Windows firewall, and the appropriate UDP and TCP rules for Fallout 4 are there. Checked my antivirus/malware software to make sure they weren't blocking anything, and I don't believe they are. But firewall/malware/antivirus wouldn't really explain why the option keeps getting turned Off in the game.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
