Ive never bought a collectors edition anything in my life...but when i saw that pip boy i had to have it. I usually dont even buy the games till the ultimate edition comes out with all DLC. I figured if i ordered it first thing after work the next day i would be fine....Wrong. Can we really buy the pip boy on the Bethesda store? Ive only looked on there a few times because i can buy better Fallout stuff on most other sites... Vault shoes? Really? They arent canon.

Yes I have to say it. I love Bethesda but they handled this incredibly poorly. I live in Europe and I even hadn't got a chance to buy it. I'm quite disappointed.

I really want that Pip-Boy. I hope they will do more copies of that Pip-Boy Editions and I really hope that I will be able to buy this.

I pre-ordered mine at a physical store.

Only thing that kinda pissed me off is I can't pick it up at the store, it's getting shipped to my house.

NIce! Can't wait to get that official email.. I had to scramble to get the funds together at the last second and even then it was lucky to get through on the site. I feel for all those that missed out and hope there is another chance.

If people would stop paying the inflated prices on E-Bay, the scalpers would stop some time. I have never paid more than $10 over retail on my games. I like many more will wait and see if they sell more of these Pipboy editions, and if not I will buy the regular edition. I have waited sense New Vegas to play this game, and not getting the Pipboy edition will not stop me from playing it.

Anyone have any ideas on what a good size phone would be for the Pip-Boy? It seems like a small tablet would work better than the average smartphone

It's true that a "collector's edition" should be limited when it contains a display piece but it should NOT be limited when it contains a functional item that works in conjunction with the game via a separate piece of software. everybody and their brother wants this item so they should just keep cranking them out till they stop selling. then after the game releases they should sell the pipboy by itself on the Bethesda store.

I apologize, you are totally correct Mikhail_867. I actually preordered the Metal Gear V: Phantom Pain collector's edition for my husband at Gamestop and fully paid for it, and they set it up online. Of course, that was a few months ago. The sad thing is I went to GameStop to preorder the Pip-Boy Edition, and they said it hadn't popped up online yet. The next day I called and told me right after I left (less than an hour later) they were able to start taking the orders for the online system. Although, hardly anyone did that because the online site services all of the GameStop stores, and it sold out in less than 3 hours. That's actually the reason why they refused to switch my preorder over to the Pip-Boy Edition automatically because the higher-ups got onto almost all of the stores because of that. They couldn't actually promise that, which would have made for very angry consumers. (They did it for our Phantom Pain though. Luckily, they didn't get an ***-chewing before that.)

One of the above posters said that EB games Aus sold out on Monday of the Collectors? Unlikely. I bought a PC version at 5:10pm Tuesday Afternoon. Have the receipt and all and the guy behind the counter said that they were still taking preorders (although that could just be for pc)

The online store sold out on the tuesday morning at 5am. Local stores I'd assume would have their own set stock separate to the online store.

It's pretty obvious that a lot more people missed out on this pre-order than those who were fortunate enough to get one. I didn't know about it being available till 1:30am EST Tuesday morning, got paid at 8:30 that morning in hopes of pre-ordering it, went to GameStop only to be told they were sold out. The GameStop website still had it listed as "available" at the time so I got a gift card to order it off the website only to have the website tell me right before I can check out that it's no longer available. My friend who works at GameStop told me yesterday that the pre-orders were opened up at 8:30pm EST Monday night and were gone in a matter of minutes. If Bethesda doesn't make/release any more Pip-boy Editions of Fallout 4, they'll be giving all the people who missed out a pretty big middle finger. It's way too demanded for them to just say "Sorry, loyal fans who weren't able to pre-order, but we're not making any more Pip-boy Editions. Go pay 2-3 times the normal price to get one off of eBay instead."

Its no different than any other game thats had a preorder special edition. They make so many then thats it. Yes it svcks that people miss out ( and I have missed out on some good ones in the past) but thats the rub of it.

what the hell does 'Way too demanded' mean?

Do you not know how many people love Fallout and wanted the Pip-boy edition only to be told that it was sold out in less than a day because they were unaware that it was available or didn't have the money for it? If you make 4,000 copies of something that millions of people will want, you're not even satisfying 1% of your fan base. Simple mathematics. 4,000/1,000,000 = .004

And don't try to justify it because it's a "Collector's Edition." No company should make an amount of collector's editions (of anything) that would satisfy less than 1% of their fan base.

I pre-ordered a PS4 via Amazon the night everything was announced/shown at the Bethesda Showcase. I ended up ordering an Xbox One version during the Microsoft conference when it seemed that PC mod support was gonna be exclusive to Xbox One, but alas it looks like they'll be shooting to make that happen on both consoles.

At this point I'll probably hand my Xbox One pre-order over to someone else for the same price I paid.. cuz I'm typically not a dike.

To be honest I'm a little weary just because of the size of the screen you would need to be able to use it fluidly. The one used at E3 seemed like a small tablet more than your average smartphone

The pipboy edition is still not available for pre-order in Ireland so I never stood a chance to pre-order.

It's a Collectors Edition, not a Limited Edition right? So there's no real reason not to make enough for all the "Collectors" who want one.

I originally pre-ordered a regular copy as Pip-Boys weren't available.

As I was pulling into my driveway (10 minutes from the store) I got a call they were available and had them switch it over the phone.
